  • Ok I wasn't sold on the idea, but considering the bottle actually says KRAKEN, that actually makes some sense. Excellent mogwai placement btw 😆

(Also, that is some good rum, excellent choice)

  • It's technically up cycling but like, yikes. For the cost of a handle of Jim beam and a shit load of wax, you could probably just buy a bunch of candles instead, so the end goal here seems to be to showcase alcohol brands?! Is this like when people fill their house with Coke or Mickey Mouse stuff?

I suppose I'm just as confused as you are. It would make sense to me if they washed the labels off; some of the bottles are visually interesting enough to warrant making showpieces out of.

  • Sweet, sweet unreasonabro, if you think the place you call "ours" is 1) A meritocracy and 2) the only place that operates on sexist principles, then I formally request an invite to the incredibly sheltered place you call home, because it's going to survive the heat death of the universe given how removed from reality is.

  • He's stronger than worf, but doesn't have his instinct for dangerous situations. He's smarter than Westley (lol) but doesn't have a great capacity for improvisation and adaptability. He's technically better than Geordi at science, but not necessarily engineering, again pointing at his spock-like proclivity for sticking with "in the box" thinking.

Ironically, Geordi has better tech eyes, but data gets more play, if you know what I'm saying 😉

  • What's bad is that even with the preponderance of historical evidence, there are still people who would absolutely return to these practices if the government let them. In many cases they do it anyway.

  • everything I said is fact. It occurs to me in retrospect that the person I'm responding to doesn't realize that primaries are essentially a private function. If you make your own political party, you can have primaries every day!

  • That's just not how it works. If New Hampshire decides to put Steamboat Willy on the ballot, only the SC could stop them, maybe. it's kind of up in the air right now apparently.

Realistically, no one wants to give up that sweet national committee money, so they'll probably cave, and it is the rich owning democracy. That's why I kept saying you'd have to light money on fire to get it done, but it could theoretically be done: you just have to grease a lot of wheels.
