  • You guys don't want change you want you return to the status quo.

You have to win to change things bruh. If you can't focus on that even a little and focus only on what you want in a perfect world , then it doesn't matter you want because you'll never win.

All else being equal a white man less than 65 who believe 95percent the same things as AOC will get at least 5 percent more votes just like that, which is the difference between winning and losing.

  • He's not. Trump is old and is feeling the call of the darkness at this point (I'm sure Putin can relate). Trump is looking for legacy. Getting him on board with bullshit like this is designed to nudge him towards being more on Russia's side, namely when it comes to sanctions and aid for Ukraine.

  • Yeah, I don't think the Americans who opposes what's happening understand that they're beyond the point where they can lawfully protest their way out of it. So long as stock market lines keep going up , the administration can just ignore these protests. Hell the media is complicit and won't report how vast these protests are anyways.

If you want to put your conspiracy hat on, this is controlled opposition in that it acts as a pressure release valve for their opposition to exert themselves and feel like they've done something, without doing anything of real consequence.

Are there protests a necessary part of resistance? Perhaps. It keeps many people engaged than would otherwise be. But they are not even close to being sufficient. Remember , were like 8 months into this.

  • Is a mod thinking the premise of an article is wrong really legitimate grounds for removal? Besides, Trump "must" be removed to prevent further damage. That much is true. It's just also true that he absolutely won't be.

  • I mean this thread is about tech that was perfect from it's inception to the point where it didn't or barely improved. Nothing could be further from the truth, transistor tech has had literally trillions of dollars and millions of smart people's careers poured into it, and semiconductor IC manufacturing is now the most complicated single activity that our species does.

  • He is banking on the extremely strong taboo in the US military against interfering in politics which has been established over generations. They will of course burn through that protection at a far faster rate than it was built, but they will likely still get away with this.

  • His current surge in wealth isn't coming from database sales or even java. Oracle is in the business of building data centers. Like physically building them and dealing with all the construction issues for clients like open AI and anyone else trying to cash in on the AI boom. A working software engineer could easily never even see this side of their business.

This video explains the incestuous relationship between Oracle, Nvidia, and openAI. https://youtu.be/vV4XF-VUTb8 but it's not the only one. The same $100B being passed around to goose numbers (and stock prices) to drive external investment is why Ellison has recently gotten so rich.
