[Steam] Tell Me Why
  • It's absolutely why I clicked.

  • LIVE UPDATES: TRUMP GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS IN HUSH-MONEY CASE
  • He'll be able to work some sort of grift off of it for sure but I feel like this definitely gives some Republicans an "out."

Now they just have to take it.

  • Have you ever bough an external hardrive only to take the disk out of it?
  • I've shucked probably 100s of those WD essentials and they just had a little SATA -> USB adapter on it. It's been a few years but it doesn't seem like they'd make a whole new PCB just to include USB.

  • Old Family Recipe Unnecessarily Racist
  • We were just talking about this (at work). I never considered my parents racist, but I definitely heard Brazil nuts called that, it's uncomfortable to think about how pervasive systemic racism is.

  • What is the most unhinged conspiracy theory?
  • It's kind of a bummer. Aliens and Bilderbergers and Government Mind Control used to be fun little thought experiments to smoke a J and play what-if with your friends; but you can't even bring that stuff up anymore without someone thinking you're serious and bringing up adrenochrome or (((Globalists)))

This timeline sucks, I want to go back to when everyone knew the X-Files was a TV show and fascists kept their brainrot on AM radio.

  • What is the most unhinged conspiracy theory?
  • I feel like like the QAnon stuff swept up huge swaths of otherwise unconnected conspiracy theorists. Flat earth, chemtrails, aliens, all the "classic" conspiracies just kind of got co-opted and folded into the big crazy tent of insane people.

  • Artificial Refugium rule
  • WHAT?

  • George Lucas Defends 'Star Wars' from Criticisms That 'It's All White Men': 'Most of the People Are Aliens!'
  • What about the animated spinoff about the 3rd backup targeting officer on a non-capital Empire refueling ship?

Yeah a lot of us stopped caring a long time ago. The market has been saturated with Star Wars.

  • Artificial Refugium rule
  • Linking to a guy using an expensive ultrasonic mic to hear bats doesn't really support youe statement that you're hearing bats around you despite never seeing them. Maybe you have hearing damage?

  • Reminder...
  • It's cute of you to step in to defend your alt account, but you can't be serious.

They're an accelerationist, for whatever reason, they want collapse. The quicker it happens the better, they admitted as much above.

You're supposing that Trump is the candidate to do that, I think most of lemmy would agree with you so I'll cede that point.

That point ceded, we can agree most of lemmy won't vote for Trump right? So what would be the point of talking about voting Trump here? It's far more effective for the accelerationist (who likely isn't conservative anyway) to be a "leftist" who's so disgusted with how corrupt and unfair the system is they simply just check out and encourage others to check out as well, "both sides are the same" of course.

So we're just making things up whole cloth about people now?

We're inferring things, it's quite a bit different comrade.

  • Reminder...
  • You need to go take a civics class and stop trying to suppress the leftwing vote. Do you expect anyone to sit down and explain to you how campaigning for issues works? Do you expect us to list every decent win "the left" has gotten the last 5-10 years?

What have you gotten accomplished? What have you even participated in?

Just because you sit in a basement unplugged from reality, doomscrolling, doesn't mean the rest of should sit here and take advice from you. You admit you just want fascism faster.

Bad-faith, accelerationist, useful idiot. If it weren't so cliche I'd call you Vlad.

  • Reminder...
    1. Not necessarily.

    2. Who says they aren't?

  • Reminder...
  • You're just an accelerationist. Fatalism, nihilism, apathy, hopeless, etc aren't anything new, most of us disagree with you. I wonder if your outlook would improve if you got therapy or if you had a little skin in the game and stood to lose something.

  • 'Who lives in a house like this?'
  • I assumed it was for some sort of medical care, The picture with the fridges has what looks like a monitor on an arm to the right. It reminded me of something you'd see attached to an EKG or heart monitor something. I bet the fridges had medicine in them at one point.

People build out nice medical rooms in their homes if they/their family needs consistent medical care and they have money, that's probably what happened.

That or it's weird sex stuff.

  • Sovcit made her own license plate out of cardboard.
  • How do they decide what laws apply and what laws don't?

The same way religions do, willy-nilly.

  • Knots 3D - $5.99 -> Free
  • Why do you say that? The post history looks pretty normal.

  • The demise of Red Lobster is a perfect case study in how to kill a business
  • Red Lobster has been going downhill for decades. It's probably better to put it out of its misery than let it limp along for 20 more years.

I don't see any "corporate theft" here at all. It's not like a mom & pop was bought and then closed. It's just another shitty corporate owned business unable to operate as if it's still 1970 closing their doors. Nothing of value was lost.

  • The demise of Red Lobster is a perfect case study in how to kill a business
  • "Shitty overpriced chain restaurant unable to compete with shitty, overpriced but locally owned restaurant."

  • China Uses Giant Rail Gun to Shoot a Smart Bomb Nine Miles Into the Sky
  • It's just a manager bomb, it failed into that position.
