  • No it looks like it creates a proxy that transforms the users internet traffic. The page also says this:

    There is no need to worry about which websites people are accessing through your Snowflake proxy. Their visible browsing IP address will match their Tor exit node, not yours.

  • How do you guys back up your server?
  • Running a Duplicacy container backing up to Google drive for some stuff and Backblaze for mostly all other data. Been using it for a couple years with no issues. The GUI and scheduling is really nice too.

  • ELI5 resources for publishing self hosted services
  • Maybe an OS like Unraid might help. Been using it for a few years now to spin up dev servers and run some containers for personal use and have no complaints. It’s not free but it’s well worth the price. What’s nice about it is how much support you can find and that it’s pretty straightforward to get it up and running.
