I have a T440S with 8GB RAM and a mechanical 500GB that I bought in an African computer shop about 7 years ago. The computer has a Swedish oriented keyboard, but I hooked it up to a big 44 inch HD screen using an adaptive connector. Works fine. I run the latest Debian, with Niri, and I had to configure Out-of-Memory Killer (which was necessary given what I do). I'm saving up for an upgrade, which I should have done a long time ago, but I haven't thought it through.

Now, based off the information presented, that T450S looks the part. If it has a mechanical drive, I would replace that at some point if needed, but I would likely pick it over the X270 which costs slightly more. The display matters, so you have to see what works for you, given preference. I think the T450S has a bigger display.

That's good to know and clears up a lot of things. I have made it a requirement that I walk 5 days a week. I keep it business, Mon to Fri then rest over the weekend to recover, but I may miss a weekday and end up doing a weekend. Not a fan, but it keeps me disciplined. Today was actually really easy and is making me consider pushing myself up over the next few months, but gradually. But I am weak on strength training, so I need to figure all of this out and maybe do that. Thanks.

Goodwill. Yes. This was my thought as well . They always have nice stuff.

Cold water on the bottom, coffee in the middle, and over the heat. 4 - 5 mins it boils over and boom.

It cost 10 bucks and was my experiment to see if I would enjoy it, so, I'm not going to bang more money into it except making coffee. I will upgrade some day and the experience from the one I have will steer me right.

Might consider this when I am stocking up. This was a random purchase today. I went into Walmart to buy something else entirely and ended up with coffee and a moka pot.

I should but the economy says chill on that one and budget for it down the road.

Sounds about right. I realized I never check the bottom of my shoes until something happens.

Ended up with Sperry sneakers. Super comfortable. Let me see how these work out.
