We make sophisticated problems stupid simple. Our software is like a michelin star restaurant serving chicken nuggets - sophisticatedly Simple.

Time to try my newly-released text editor lol.
This is nowhere near Obsidian in terms of features. And this is not a notes app. This is a plain text editor.

Two methods to quickly inserting frequently used text blocks: add words to your dictionary or create text snippets
-
Smart, intuitive autocompletion with tab key
-
Themes: choose between, light, dark and Sepia themes for the editor
-
Familiar, intuitive keyboard shortcuts (ctrl++ to make text bigger, for example)
The app is can be installed from Flathub and is also available as RPM and DEB packages. (It will soon be listed on flathub)
Jottr can also run on MacOS and Windows.
This looks very cool!
When you enable the Focus Mode (fir distraction-free writing), the browser is automatically toggled off.
Services are the more standard way of doing that. They are more resilient and you could troubleshoot more easily. Glad you are happy with systemd Pilot. Feel frree to share your thoughts or ask for new features.

They are not as good as Google's especially for languages other than English.
But no Gboard means no voice typing :( I use that thing every day.
Wow. This might come in handy!
Lazygit perfectly fits my lifestyle:) thanks for sharing
This looks very cool. Thanks for sharing.
awk and sed have always been intimidating for me with that cryptic syntax.
Cool. I'd never heard of this and I've used Debian for years.
Which Linux command or utility is simple, powerful, and surprisingly unknown to many people or used less often?
This could be a command or a piece of software or an application.
For example I'm surprised to find that many people are unaware of Caddy, a very simple web server that can make setting up a reverse proxy incredibly easy.
Another example is fzf. Many people overlook this, a fast command-line fuzzy finder. It’s versatile for searching files, directories, or even shell history with minimal effort.
Done! Chack out the latest version.
This was added to the latest version. You can now quickly start a new service from the app.
Only if you can vnc/rdp into you server or forward x11.
Same here. I'm a Cursor subscriber but I loked Windsurf better after using its free trial.

Simple utility to show open ports on linux systems - mfat/ports-info

PortsInfo is a simple desktop app that shows a list of active network ports on your linux systems.
In other words, it shows you which servers are running on your computer.
It's a graphical equivalent of running netstat -plunt in a terminal.
The app supports quick search with CTRL+F shortcut.
Hopefully this will be useful to newbies and system administrators.
Set default entry in GRUB. Contribute to mfat/bootselector development by creating an account on GitHub.

BootSelector is a tiny GUI utility for setting any grub menu entry as default.
It also allows you to reboot into any OS/kernel in your grub menu.
The initial version has been tested on the latest Ubuntu 24.10 and should work on other Debian-based distributions as well.
An RPM for fedora will be released soon after more testing is done.
