  • Quake 1 - though not quite at launch, it was the game that pushed me to get a Voodoo 1 card. Half-Life 2 - due to the delay I ended upgrading my video card twice, ending on an ATI Radeon 9800

  • They've had a rough run over the years with their previous majority holder running into financial issues and them getting sold to Nacon (Bigben Interactive) in 2022. I'm guessing there was a push internally to go big, and Gollum was the efforts of that. Also Nacon don't have a stellar record for doing well by developers, see: Frogwares and the Sherlock Holmes debacle.

  • That's a shame. They've been around for a good while now and produced a good run of point and click style adventure games. They took the wrong path with Gollum though.

  • With Twitter locking themselves behind a log in wall, they've instantly become a shit way of sharing information.

Any further news on this or when he'll be seeing the stewards?

  • Good question, I have no idea. I wasn't even sure this was going to post. I just pasted the images in from the clipboard.

  • I thought that was Eye of the Beholder 2 at first.

Reviews for this seem pretty good mind.

  • Wow, these companies are making it really easy for me to walk away. Thanks for the 15 years Twitter (I barely used you for the last 6 or so).

  • It's so hard to get excited for a lap here as I'm just waiting for it to be deleted. These track limits are not making this fun. Cutting corners I can accept, but outside track limits in this case feel too much.

  • Reddit is far too recognizable of a name to die. Myspace still exists today, as does Digg. It may have peaked and shifted from its original vibe, and will continue to shift, but with it it'll still live on as the investors try to figure out ways to claw back their money.

I'm sure in ten years time you'll be able to visit reddit.com and be fed some cleansed ad friendly news feeds snuggled between ads, pointing you to content funded by marketing money. Just go to Digg right now and you'll see it.

  • This is like the discovery of the Rosetta stone.

  • As someone who has taken the test, it was much easier to do than the study material and sample tests led me to believe. I read through the citizenship guide so many times memorizing crazy facts that my Canadian friends couldn't answer. The actual test was so basic that even logical guess work and basic knowledge would probably get you a pass.

Oh, and I couldn't tell you a thing from my studies now. All went out of my head the moment after finishing.

  • Nope. Once the announcement was made about the blackout I found Lemmy, removed Reddit from my favourites, abandoned Apollo and closed the chapter.

  • I recently told a friend about it having read it back when it came out. I've since lost my copy, but said friend arrived with one a few weeks ago as a gift. I'm looking forward to diving back into the insanity of it again. It's a page turner, and twister, and rotator.

  • Same. I realised I'd been paying for months and barely watched it. So I canceled (Maybe 2 years ago). I've maybe downloaded two shows that I would have missed since then and one of those I gave up on--Black Mirror S6, the other was Midnight Mass.

  • Having the name of the community on the left makes sense more than the user as you read the topic from the left (unless you’re using a right to left language) and being able to first see the community helps give context to the post.

  • Ahh crap, can I have my upvote back then?

  • I'm willing to bet that Perez isn't going to end this season in second place. He's going to need some turnaround to best Alonso's form. If Aston keeps the updates coming then that car is going to improve more, and perhaps Merc the same.
