I agree. I think people forget (or missed) that the Vulcans went for this logic-only lifestyle because they are such an extremely emotional race that it nearly destroyed them.

That is why they begin their emotional control/suppression/denial training basically at birth. It doesn’t come naturally to them, and as every Vulcan living among humans has pointed out to them at some point by a Vulcan living in Vulcan company: living with humans makes you an emotional mess.

That’s really surprising so me, everyone I know was waiting for the new booster like it was Taylor Swift tickets, avoiding events until two weeks after they got it, calling around to pharmacies 50 miles away to get it a few days early. It was required for my work.

Terry said you can start anywhere, and I’ve been enjoying reading them in order, but if you want to get to know the Death character, “Mort” and then “The Reaper Man” would do. The witches and wizards books are also great, and he’s in every book at least a bit (he is Death after all).

I might be parasocially in love with Death. He’s just such a dear, kind, awkward but in a stoic way, person. And he loves cats 😻

The new recordings that are coming out on Audible are FANTASTIC if you like audio books at all. There are two versions, the newer ones with Peter Serafinowicz and Bill Nighy are the good ones.
