I just realized that it's hard to imagine someone saying you should speak English because lemmy/kbin is an amaerican website. I'm sure we've all seen that more than once on reddit.
Oh, thanks for bringing this to my attention! My problem with city building games is usually just that, too stressful. I don't mind being attacked every once in a while, for example, but if being slightly unprepared to deal with an attack means total failure, then I tend to go play something else...
Exactly. On reddit I'd probably type out this comment, see that the post is X hours old or see that there are already 5000 replies and think "meh, no one will see this anyway. Best case scenario I get an upvote or two". But here I feel like I'm part of a conversation and actually contributing something.
I tried the equivalent at sh.itjust.works but I only find comments. On lemmy.world the link for the community was on the second page, but on sh.itjust.works there's nothing on the second page (which is weird since there is a next button that takes me to "no results"). Hmm. Does you instance have a support thread where someone might be having similar issues?
I was about to reply saying that the search didn't work, that I could only see two comments I made in kbin.social sharing the link, but then I pressed the next button and there was a one line link to the community on the next page. Really weird formatting, but that did it! Thanks a lot! :)
EDIT: @cdiv So it turns out that this worked for lemmy.world but not for sh.itjust.works. When I search there I only see comments where people have mentioned the link, but no actual link to the community. This is so weird and confusing lol
I've been trying to get this to work for someone (I'm on kbin, they're on lemmy) but I just get a 404 error. The magazine is kbin.social/m/LucidDreaming, so following your guide I should try https://lemmy.world/c/LucidDreaming@kbin.social, correct? Any idea what's going wrong?
Try https://lemmy.world/c/LucidDreaming@kbin.social, I finally got it opening here. I've been told you won't see any content that was created before, so it appears empty (not sure why), but you should see any future content added
That sounds awesome :) Yeah, it is possible to approach it in a "lighter" way. If you don't take it too seriously, for example, or learn to enjoy your non-lucid dreams. Also finding the "right approach" for you will help. It's definitely exhausting to put a lot of energy into something that isn't working well.
Scunthorpe problem, if anyone else is wondering.
