    Oh dear

  • The disabled community is often invisible and are a vulnerable community. We're often ignored, underestimated and pride is a way of drawing attention.

Disability discrimination is rife in schools and work, with many having to attend tribunals Disabled people are at elevated risk of crime victimisation including sexual violence, assault and domestic abuse. They're at increased risk of mental health issues and even suicide

There's the knock on effect as well, including strain on parents of disabled children.

Pride gives us a voice, and raises awareness about how we're mistreated. It's also a way for us to be positive about ourselves. My disability gives me skills and strengths others don't, but many can't see past the negatives of my disability.

  • I agree with you he definitely doesn't think things through. I also agree he's using a generational word. I personally think he's got anti social personality disorder and at the very least he's a documented dv abuser, they're manipulative. They can be thick as fuck, but with good manipulation skills

  • May well be, however he's calculating and manipulative. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was deliberate.

  • It's important to remember that the headline refers to the group Palestine action, which has carried out vandalisation of historical pieces, occupations of property, destruction etc (see here). So it's a group that fits the UK definition of an extremist group.

Some political groups (or even branches of them) can be political cults trapping members with coercive control It's not always idealistic well meaning people. The court that decreed them an unlawful group will have seen a lot of info we didn't.

I think we need to look deeper than the headline
