Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 released on Steam
  • Game has been out for an hour or two? Isn't that mostly "I cannot download or load it because the servers are overloaded" frustration reviews?

Anyway, always good to wait a little until the dust has settled.

  • Software: Then vs Now
  • Easy, your 4090 is made of pure assembly.

  • Software: Then vs Now
  • If you create a meme like this at least inform yourself on how computers and software work.

  • Twitter is dead. Long live BlueSky.
  • Because I have seen 10 posts about how Bluesky is the new Twitter on my Lemmy feed in two days. I overreacted a bit, but what you say goes both ways. Absolutely use what you like but there is no need to spam a new platform like that.

  • Twitter is dead. Long live BlueSky.
  • Bluesky can fuck right off as well. I tried it to see if it was any different than Twitter but I had to nope out after 10 minutes.

I've never understood the whole Twitter formula anyways. Scroll through endless ramblings of people I don't care about? No thanks.

There are far better places to stay informed about certain topics or get in touch with people you know.

  • YouTube Premium is now showing ads
  • I'm amazed it still works that well to be honest. Have it on Firefox on my phone as well 👌🏼

  • This Week in Plasma: Everything You Wanted and More
  • I really appreciate the work and time the volunteer devs put in, but everytime I try KDE I have to give up because of some workflow breaking bug. Window rules disappearing into thin air, context menu's not rendering properly, power management not consistent, widget search freezing, random crashes. the list goes on. This has been the case with every major KDE release I tried and yes I have reported my fair share of bugs but it seems the priority lies with adding new features instead of fixing old ones which is a shame imo.

  • Israeli Maccabi hooligans beat up man in front of Amsterdam Central Station
  • Well there are two stories going around, the story where the Israeli's are the victim ofcourse getting a lot more attention. The story where the Israeli's tear down Palestinian flags and beat up an Arab taxi driver not so much.

  • Donald Trump projected to win 2024 election
  • 🤦🏼‍♂️

At this point a meteorite nuking our planet is probably better for everyone.

  • Finally got my main road blueprints done!
  • Nice, this is on my todo as well. How hard is it to get those bends in?

  • [Satisfactory] 130 hours in, i have built a turbofuel-powered oil rig. (more pictures and details in description)
  • Awesome. Question, why did you not use the other 2 normal oil nodes as well?

  • Claude just got upgraded, and why you should use it over ChatGPT
  • This is what stopped me from signing up as well.

  • Ghostty 1.0 is Coming
  • Weird table. I use Foot which is pretty fucking fast and does everything I need except panes so I might check this one out.

  • Elon Musk delusionally believes Trump support is not affecting Tesla, claims sales are at 'all-time highs'
  • I don't drive a Tesla because I have never liked Musk. Apart from that imo the only model that is somewhat good looking is the model S but still very overpriced for what you get.

Dude keeps surprising me with his stupid decisions. Can't imagine the shareholders are happy with his newest pro Trump thing, once again showing he is a huge narcissist.

  • Google signs deal for nuclear energy to power AI datacenters.
  • Money.

AI will improve and this will be a multi trillion dollar market. Big tech is in a race to be the biggest.

We don't need it and should be focussing on important things but yay capitalism right?

  • In the Netherlands, we’re closing our emptying prisons. What can other countries learn from how we did it? | Renate van der Zee
  • https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-50821542

You can find some more if you do a quick search on netherlands drug violence. Politicians are ignoring this problem completely. It's a growing problem in other European countries as well, Sweden for example.

  • In the Netherlands, we’re closing our emptying prisons. What can other countries learn from how we did it? | Renate van der Zee
  • This article draws a very colorful picture of our country lol.

Fact of the matter is it is turning into a narco state quickly with drug related shootings and bombings happening almost daily.

Police and the justice system in general is understaffed.

So please do not learn from us, we're far from a role model.
