Cats eat everything that move
  • My doggo also hunts and destroys the “bad bugs.” I think he thinks he’s a cat, though. He expects to be worshipped, lol.

  • OceanGate co-founder wants to send 1,000 people to a floating colony on Venus by 2050
  • Oh, I’m sure after what happened to the submersible that they’ll have volunteers lining up around the block for a space flight.

  • Could you resist a true virtual reality and should you?
  • For me, I became ill later in life. It’s been over ten years now of me living with my disability. In my dreams, sometimes I’m normal, and sometimes I’m not. It’s weird, seems like for me personally, it’s 50/50.

  • Could you resist a true virtual reality and should you?
  • Actually I have, but as soon as I realize I’m dreaming, I instantly wake up. So annoying!

  • Apps for kbin?
  • Oh, that’s exciting! I’ve been waiting for this. I loved Apollo for Reddit and I’ve read that it’s very similar. I can’t wait to try it.

  • Could you resist a true virtual reality and should you?
  • To expand on this, one thing I haven’t seen in the comments yet, is how pivotal and amazing this would be for the handicapped and disabled community. I myself have a broken body and being able to do things in VR that I can’t in the physical world would be incredible.

  • Canada launches warning labels on each cigarette
  • Yes, I imagine if you’re (not you specifically) edgy or depressed the words wouldn’t much of a deterrent at all. Might even be “cool.” But in that case I figure you’d likely be smoking already and not making the best life decisions in general.

  • Doctors Are Mobilizing in Ohio and Elsewhere to Protect Reproductive Rights
  • I’m glad these professionals are taking a stand, but it’s sad that they need to. The overturning of roe vs. wade was a travesty in this nation, I’m tired of old white men deciding what’s best for women and their reproductive health.

  • Canada launches warning labels on each cigarette
  • I actually think this could be a good idea as a deterrent. It’s easy enough to ignore the images and words on the box, but to have to see it every time you pull out and puff on a cigarette might be more effective.

  • Trans youth are significantly more likely to attempt suicide when gender dysphoria is met with conversion therapy than with hormone treatment
  • Gee, who would have thought that suppressing who you are and being taught that it’s wrong could have an increased negative outcome. Crazy, am I right?

  • With Reddit officially going insane I am glad that I am here
  • The interview, the mod replacement threats, restoring users deleted comments. Probably some other stuff too by the time this is posted. I think he’s running for a guinness world record or something, biggest asshole of 2023.

  • Reddit CEO seeks to end site protest by allowing users to vote out moderators
  • Cool, if we’re doing votes and democracy, I vote we remove Spez.

    Isn’t that how it works?

  • Conservatives are now boycotting Kellogg’s over a picture at the Tony’s
  • This is just ridiculous, and really sad. She’s not hurting anyone by posing with a mascot or holding a beer, ffs. I just don’t understand why people can’t stand trans people in particular for simply existing.

  • With Reddit officially going insane I am glad that I am here
  • I just bit the bullet and created an account here after a couple days of lurking. I read that spez upped his asshole factor again, if that’s even possible, and my personal blackout is still ongoing. There’s some communities I miss but I think the universe was telling me to move on in its own way. I’d scroll for hours and hours, and I know that’s not good for me.

  • What's the best place to get news now?
  • I need to find a new way to scroll through random news as well, I used to like browsing world news and other random threads that hit the front page. Feed readers sound like something I should look into.
