Good call - they're currently separate today but I really need to get the data exchange layer sorted out and documented and keep an eye on that as I'm writing the control software. The current implementation has a library for controlling the motor / machine that runs a state machine in a separate thread and I'm exposing the controls via a websockets server so lots of options but very custom/hardcoded.
You know - you may be right. She's rotating her hip in a way that makes it look manipulated. FYI her name appears to be Lacey Laid.
This is lovely, but I wish we could see the non-photoshopped version. I'm sure she's just as beautiful without such excessive use of the warp tool.

Excellent! I know there's a very well-supported open source project called OSSM that uses a servo-belt linear drive mechanism. Mine uses a lead screw and will be significantly more overpowered but also more diy-ish. I'll post updates. Thanks for your interest.
