Tell us more about your current usage. What are you doing and where is it failing?

Some of the other posts already hit the highlights. Have a variety of well lit photos. Your profile should be short, but with some unique-ish hooks for people to talk about (eg: "reading 'such and such' for my book club!" - several things for someone to ask about there).

When you do match with people, don't send generic messages. Don't just send "hey". Go read https://nohello.net/en/ for a post about that in other contexts.

After you've had one or two successful exchanges, clear any deal breakers you might have (eg: "really enjoying this conversation but wanted to make sure you saw on my profile I have a toddler. Are you okay with that?"). If that succeeds, ask them out.

Don't provide too many choices. People get overwhelmed easily. "I'd love to talk more about (whatever we we were talking about). Do you want to go on a date? I like (local bar), but (other bar) in your neighborhood looks fun, too!". Two choices. They'll probably pick one.

I personally think a lot of rich people are bad with money. They're just shielded from consequences because if you blow $200,000 on an expensive watch, and you have another $3,000,000 in the bank, it's not going to ruin you. I've seen numerous examples of rich people just blowing money on bullshit. Meanwhile, poor people are like snipping coupons and making $1000 last a whole month.

I mean, there's always going to be scams. You probably want to address that with education more than expensive "you're not allowed to buy salsa with your government money" stuff.

Well, the lunch is being eaten either way. Personally I feel like "AI" stuff is not great for anybody except the people selling it (and even they are often losing money)

A couple CEOs have made statements about how they're not hiring anyone in favor of "AI". Somehow Saint Luigi hasn't visited any of them, but I think a couple had to reverse course after the "AI" was bad.

Labor should unite. We don't need infinite growth and profits. Dignity and a sustainable environment are more important

Conservatives are wrong about pretty much everything. I don't know of a single problem where they have a sensible policy. They're worse than toddlers.

I had a recruiter (in the US) message me about some jobs. They're all on-site 6 (six!) days a week. That should be a crime and everyone involved in that banished from the land. This wasn't climate change work or anything important. It was like ai fintech nonsense.

To an extent. but think about how like some people are super eager to get in on the latest in joke and drive it into the ground. You see it on forums sometimes where someone will come up with a bit, and then some people just want to keep repeating it forever. They're the kind of person who relentlessly said "I'm on a boat" in 2010.

Hypothesis: Stupider people with weaker senses of self are more likely to use chatgpt. That kind of person is also more likely to adopt the language of others. There are many such people.

Thus, the language used on average changes.

In a similar boat. 3 years ago I got like 3 offers after like two months of interviewing, plus a bunch of other interviews I bombed. Now I'm not even getting phone screens, despite having more experience.

I have a tinfoil hat theory that the taxes are kept like that to give people a recurring, low grade, anti-tax sentiment. There are a lot of crazy idiots that don't want government to exist here, so by making people feel bad about paying taxes (instead of obscuring that by baking it into the listed price) they can win sympathy.
