While I find this fascinating, what these monopolies do with their power, I wonder more what the alternatives are... There where some interesting Economist articles on major changes to financial techs aiming to break this though that was years ago and I don't remember much other then discussion of micro loans and government cryptos schemes

This is interesting. I'm not sure what is ment by non libre software. I imagine something like FOSS or graphineOS. Which I use on a nothing phone. This is a poor argument which will be repeated through out this thread because it doesn't take into account the product.. Meat consumption can not be 'cleaned up' or 'held accountable' unless you are growing or purchasing meat from a direct source. You can change your habit in that sense. But when you purchase a fast food meal or even a Sysco steak at a fine dinning establishment you are supporting the established CAFOs that make the statistics in the post. Not corporate greed.
