[AskMovies] What great movie did you watch this week?
  • I just watched “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” for the first time. I know I know I know. I don’t know how I went so long without seeing it either. It was SO good, though. So that got me wanting to share movies well known and not so well known that people are watching.

  • I loved that in the Republican debate I hate watched, they mentioned how the percentage of Americans that are proud to be American has plummeted. Then all of the Presidential candidates gave a bunch of non-answers.

  • Following Willis’s delivery of the 41-count indictment, the Fulton county district attorney, who is African American, has faced a wave of racist abuse online including from Trump, who, using a thinly veiled play on the N-word, wrote on Truth Social: “They never went after those that Rigged the Election … They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!”

    What in the actual fuck.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said, “I miss mean tweets and cheap gas.” Absolutely fuck these fascist racist asshole cultists.

I have been bad at keeping track of off-season news, so this helped remind me of a few moves. In Sakic we trust.

What is the deal with that newspaper Kansas newspaper raid?
  • So I’m just slightly confused. They were investigating the police chief while simultaneously also dealing with the drunk Karen restauranteur? Seems like the police were issued a warrant to raid the homes per the restauranteur investigation? Does anyone understand the connection with the police chief or am I just being dense?

Get ready, Colorado Springs, for the biggest and best pop culture convention in the Springs. This 3-day event will feature celebrities from all genres of TV, movies and cartoons, and some of the best names in the comic art community.

    Colorado Springs Comic Con

Hi all! I just found out that Colorado Springs has their own Comic Con! I saw a big list of celebrities, but is it like the Denver Pop Culture Con where they do panels and celeb Q & As, or is it seriously just a place to go and stand in line for a photo or autograph? It doesn’t look there’s much other than that, vendors, and a cosplay contest.

Trying my hand at a pumpkin vine this year. The male blooms are beautiful!
  • It’s a Northern Bush Pumpkin. I bought the plant when it was wee with two leaves at a local farmer’s market and it is going absolutely bananas right now. I’m in zone 5 in the western US, so I think the season has been just right. Not too hot, which killed one of my jalapeño plants, but everything else (tomato varieties) are doing well.
