Cannabis legalisation hampered by most German of substances: red tape
  • You can't plant it outside your flat as growing it where children could reach it is forbidden.

Also the weather is not stable and warm enough that it's going to grow well without ideal sunlight on a balcony (windows are already blocking out too much energy)

I grew 2 plants on an east-facing balcony that only has 3 hours of sun before noon and moved the plants across the flat for afternoon sun through the windows.

Got less than 5 grams out of it - a friend that I shared the seeds with that used the same earth and pots but has a south-facing balcony got more than 10g from a single plant

Sure it's a weed and won't die easily but the harvest will not be great without good conditions

  • Cannabis legalisation hampered by most German of substances: red tape
  • Distributing is still illegal except for clubs which is where the red tape is.

You also can only grow 50g for yourself but if you harvest more from your plants it's illegal to gift it to a friend

Not everyone wants to afford a 2-300€ growbox and not everyone has a balcony with enough light to grow themselves.

I hope it's just growing pain with the legalization as the clubs could only apply to start last week.

Once the first ones get going there's going to be a blueprint on how to do the same - it's going to be interesting how the black market will look like in a year when they are established sources of good quality weed

  • Americans can no longer afford a summer vacation
  • I really don't get how you guys don't properly unionize - especially with how many companies collaborate with European ones where everyone gets a minimum of 4 weeks of holiday guaranteed by law.

  • Americans can no longer afford a summer vacation
  • So it's higher than almost any time after normalising from a record height but somehow they needed to create a negative headline?

  • After project 2025 you'll think, "it would have been that simple."
  • It certainly has an effect on the population that isn't stuck at voting the same over and over

  • After project 2025 you'll think, "it would have been that simple."
  • Is it really the old people being influenced by TV or are they just voting the same stuff they have all their life not caring at all about what's going on?

At least in Germany the 60+ year olds are almost impossible for the far right to reach as they are firmly sticking with the center parties. They were also the only age group where the center parties didn't lose voters over the last decade while they lost most of their voters to different parties on the political spectrum

  • Now we know how much it costs to make a $2,800 Dior bag
  • No that's totally disgusting - I was only complaining that it's not the full "this is how much it costs" equation

  • Now we know how much it costs to make a $2,800 Dior bag
  • But as with all products production cost is not really saying that much

How much money did the design process take as they surely have some extremely high-paid people doing that? If you then include their deliberate small number of produced goods in order to stay exclusive that design cost is distributed across only a couple of thousand bags. Also what about the designs that didn't become bags at all?

I'm not saying it's worth that price at all as their main drawing point is marketing but just looking at the production cost is a very short-sighted view and a very populist framing, too.

There's a reason why actually rich people don't walk around with the stuff those luxury brands sell in their stores - it's just peacocking to show how much money you can afford to waste and nothing else

  • Live Table of Group C Throughout Matchday 3
  • I think the biggest problem is that there is no disadvantage for getting 3rd place over 2nd place. Sometimes it's even better to be 3rd and get the easier side of the bracket than going through groups as the 2nd-placed team

If they want to have a RO16 then they should perhaps find a system where they put the group-winners one round ahead without playing while 2nd and 3rd places play each other - or that the third placed games has to play another knockout between themselves to join the others.

It's horrible that the groups that play last have way more information about which amount of points will be enough to go through than the groups that finish first so it's totally possible for some of them to just sit back knowing that they are already guaranteed to go through even if they get 3rd place.
