Reddit CEO (/u/spez) is going to hold a AMA about the API update
  • Yeah I don't expect anything to happen either. The big "blackout" having a predetermined duration of 48 hours is a joke. Reddit can just sit it out and be done with it. After reading the farewell post of the Apollo dev it also seems like Reddit is doubling down on their pricing model with no leeway.

  • There were so many cool features. For example if anyone asked for a setting in r/redditsync you could link the setting in your comment and everyone using the app could just click it and jump right to it. I'm still looking for a decent mobile Lemmy experience.

  • RIF will also shut down on June 30th
  • Yeah and NSFW content will be gone anway. A major deal breaker for many, not only necessarily for porn but for other random NSFW stuff which pop up in most subreddits. Paying more for less is a no go for most people, understandably.
