lazy ad block rule
  • If you keep on closing the YouTube app, and clicking on the URL, eventually after 2 or 3 tries the YouTube app won't have an ad it will go straight to the video. Saves a lot of time especially if there's 2 ads.

  • What app does everyone use for weather?

Years ago when I had an iPhone I used Darksky, then used it in Android when I switched too, until Apple bought it.

I've seen answers around on other sites, but wondering what apps people use?

Would love to see a similar functionality available on Android 14 someday.

  • Yeah, if anything I'm enjoying watching the way this dumpster fire plays out. I'll probably hang on for as long as I can and keep using my Relay Pro app until reddit fizzles away on June 30th, then overwrite all my comments or erase my accounts.

What's happening is for the best. It's better to just accept that reddit is no longer, and that we can foster real communities within Lemmy that can no longer be taken away from us by CEO's with micropeens. Power can now be distributed collectively into the fediverse without the need for advertising or data collection. The future of the internet is in the federated internet 😊

  • So why do you have a Pixel?

Since there's no self posts here yet, I thought I'd bring up a question for those that decided to settle into Lemmy. Welcome to those here so far!

There's a ton of reasons to choose the a Pixel, but what's one or two major points that keep you hooked?

For me, I'm in love with the speed of the UI, and of course the ability to sideload apps if I want. Being in control of a device you spend a lot of money on makes a lot of sense.

Anti-mod brigading going on within reddit?
  • That's very tempting, but there's no telling if reddit will raise API pricing going forward, or add more restrictions to 3rd party apps. Their community has gone to shit anyway. Better to just pull the plug entirely and start anew.

  • Anti-mod brigading going on within reddit?

I've been seeing a lot of pro-reddit, anti-mod comments, despite tens of thousands of up votes on Reddit blackout posts. Pro-reddit comments also have a ton of gold for some reason.

Is reddit trying to change the narrative towards hating on mods for "ruining everything" before they try and remove them?
