The biggest context clue for you should be the US army uniform and 3rd Infantry Division patch on the helmet. This is probably commentary on two decades of deployments in Afghanistan.
The things these people are saying aren't even remotely as rude as the sort of things Charlie would say at an average event. Kirk suggested gay people be stoned to death. He said George Floyd had it coming. He blamed rape victims for dressing poorly. But those are all just words.

Wouldn't this just encourage alt accounts to get around the rule? You're only hiding it with sockpuppets instead of allowing it to happen transparently.
All communities get this way when they grow enough in size. There are only so many unique opinions to express on a subject, and a finite amount of interest someone will have to keep reading a thread. It essentially becomes a race to see who can express the idea first, and we have an easier time winning a race with fewer competitors.
