At least for me, I feel the same way (despite liking women) because I disliked seeing something that was relatively low quality get upvoted purely because of sex appeal. Hell, there's even a whole sub dedicated to the idea that people just paid attention to the sex appeal, only to be surprised that the content itself was really cool

I've never actually used many old style forums (except for Pine64's) since I'm a bit younger, and my parents were strict on using the internet when I was younger. I like the idea of less content centralization since everything seems to happen on the larger websites, but I have no idea where to find almost any of these places lol

My favorites of the season are Oshi no Ko and Vinland Saga season 2, but I've also been watching Heavenly Delusion with my girlfriend. Watched a bit of Hell's Paradise and I'll probably finish that at some point when the season's over

Agreed. I've gotten increasingly worried that the web has consolidated more and more. I'm actually very surprised to see some traction for new sites (especially the fediverse). I'm hoping more of the big internet companies trash their established positions and hopefully help inject some newer life into the internet
