IMO Organic Maps. I've used it for years now and it just works and it has a great offline navigation (you can download the areas).
Contributing to OSM through the app is quite easy too, so you should consider contributing the places you often visit that are not yet on the map. That helps the community too :).
Tho for some places I couldn't find I've used Apple Maps to get the coordinates.
I've read about the Steam Deck's upscaling settings, and it's pretty promising, more than sufficient for my needs! I didn't know you could use linear upscaling through the QAM menu without a performance hit, definitely worth trying. Thanks for the detailed info!
Hey everyone,
I'm planning to play SCP: Secret Laboratory (among other titles) on Steam Deck OLED. From what I've gathered online, it runs at about 30-40 fps on the lowest settings. Since the game is really designed for a mouse and keyboard, I was considering using the Dock to connect to an external monitor for a better setup.
I have both a Full HD and a 4K monitor. Of course, I'd prefer playing on the 4K screen, but I'm skeptical that the performance would hold up. Full HD is more realistic, and I'm totally fine with that if it means better gameplay stability.
So, my question is: How does it affect performance, especially for games like SCP: Secret Laboratory? Would there be a significant fps drop when using a monitor, particularly with 4K versus 1080p?
Any advice or personal experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks!
openDesk is pretty promising. It's an open source alternative to hyperscalers like Microsoft, Google and Co.

That makes perfect sense! I’ll definitely try it next time. Lately, I’ve been diving into learning about cannabis, different extraction methods growing and all that, so tips like these really help. Appreciate you sharing!
From what I understand, you mean adding water when you add the butter to the decarbed weed, which you can definitely do. But wouldn't the water just mix with the butter and weed, and then get poured into the jar together? Or am I missing something? Do you separate the water after pouring it into the jar, before putting the butter in the fridge? I just want to make sure I’m getting the process right.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely give that a try next time! I’ve always thought grinding helps with surface area, but I didn’t consider the chlorophyll factor. I’ll see how it changes the butter :)
I recently tried out the POT by NOIDS to make some cannabis butter, and I’m really impressed with how easy and efficient the process was. Here’s how it went:
!1000005518 I used about 10g of cannabis flowers (likely Amnesia, but I’m not 100% sure, it’s grown by myself and grown outdoors). I ground them up (not mandatory, but I’ve heard it helps with surface area and efficiency), then put them in the POT for decarboxylation.
!1000005520 The device has a “Decarb” mode that runs at 115°C and takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours, but mine was done in about 1.5 hours. The POT is smart enough to measure the progress with sensors, so it knows when it’s done.
After decarbing, I let the cannabis cool down a bit and then added 100g of melted butter.
!1000005527 I’ve tried it with solid butter before, and it worked, but melting it first seems to mix better. I switched to the “Oil” mode, which ran at 100°C for about 2.5 hours. Once that was done, I let it cool a bit, swapped the normal lid for the filter set, and poured the infused butter into a jar.
!1000005529 The butter was pretty dark at first, but after setting it in the fridge, it turned a nice green color.
!1000005531 Honestly, I’m really happy I invested in this device despite the higher price. It’s super easy to use, and cleaning it is simple whether by hand or in the dishwasher. The POT is also surprisingly quiet – think of a slightly louder computer. Another plus is the minimal odor. My kitchen usually reeks when I use the oven for decarbing, but this time the smell was barely noticeable.
I highly recommend this device for anyone looking to make infused oils, butter, or concentrates easily at home.

Thanks, growmie! My tent is 70x70x160 cm, so about 0.5 m². I hadn’t really thought about the terpenes, so that’s good to know! I was also considering getting a rosin press in the future, maybe after the next grow. I like your all-natural approach with hash and rosin carts! Right now, I’m planning to use the POT by NOIDS (it’s an electric device that makes oil, wax via ethanol extraction, butter, and decarbed cannabis) to infuse Vegetable Glycerin (VG) with THC, then mix it with PG and a bit of flavor.
Had some trouble with aphids at the start, but they’re mostly under control now (honestly, I'd rather smoke a bit of “protein” than pesticides or buy street weed lol). The plants are now in week 6 of flower. The breeder says 7-9 weeks to finish, but I’ll be keeping an eye on the trichomes to know for sure. :)
They’ve grown pretty tall because I had them outside in a greenhouse for the first two weeks, but they didn’t get enough light there. I moved them indoors to the tent, but I think that’s how they got the aphids. Because of the low light, they stretched a lot during veg.
I’m planning to harvest around the end of October. With the trim and popcorn buds, I’m going to try making my own THC vape juice. Never done it before, but I’ve already done decarbing for edibles, so it shouldn’t be too hard.
Anyone here made their own THC e-liquid before? I’ll post my results in a few weeks!
Did you even read the post? OP asks for a way to use Instagram as privately as possible while using an account.

Aktuell in Blütewoche 5.

Vanadium when I'm on my phone, which is is a hardened variant of Chromium providing enhanced privacy and security, similar to how GrapheneOS compares to AOSP.
And when I'm at work or using any other computer I try to mainly use Firefox.
Tatsächlich ruht die Entwicklung nicht nur, sondern ist "offiziell" Tod: "as much as I dont want to say the project is dead, but I have no plans on working on this any further as I simply do not have the time required to finish building and then maintaining the app"
I took it over from a former colleague in the office and am now looking after it. Google Lens and apps like Pl@ntNet have suggested Ponytail Palm or Pandanus (but I think they only have similarities and are not exactly this plant). Does anyone recognize this plant?
