Do you prefer digital or physical books?
  • Digital - easier to carry and to handle while reading. Plus u can read on a phone/laptop in dark environments as well. However for reading on a plane, where I'm sitting in one place, I somehow prefer physical books as they're less painful than looking at a lit up screen for extended periods of time.

  • People who keep journals or diaries, do you hand write or type?
  • That's why I used to maintain a blog (a secret one, whose address no one knew). Till the day I realised there's too much there which I don't want to be able to go through, and deleted the blog in a snap.

  • People who back into parking spots: Why?
  • This is the technically correct answer. My good person, you have, very clearly, been thinking a lot about this! Well explained!!

Edit to add: reversing in gives you a much better angle than pulling in because it's your front wheels which are doing all the steering work.

  • It's official: Smartphones will need to have replaceable batteries by 2027
  • Yup, and most regular users end up using phones for stuff which even a 4 or 5 year old phone would suffice. Except for the battery which keeps on degrading over the years.

I'm just a little cautious, because easily replaceable batteries will further dent phone sales in general, there could potentially be a marked increase in phone prices once this regulation comes into effect.

  • Why do you personally prefer using an Android phone?
  • Hi. I've heard quite a few people do this but never managed to ask why. So, taking the opportunity to ask.

What I mean is, if the large part of the phone is about the software experience and software optimisation (and the hardware in itself is nowhere near cutting edge) what's the upside of installing a non-google OS on it?

Perhaps I'll try it someday. For today, just curious. If you could shed some light on it. Thank you!
