Quad9 Blocks Pirate Site Globally After Sony Demanded €10,000 Fine * TorrentFreak
  • wow this is actually fucked.

a DNS resolver being court-ordered to block a website is way, way, way too far.

we are literally a step away from google chrome or firefox being ordered to disable websites.

this is a new low. i like quad9, and i want to continue using them. i respect them hugely for putting up the fight, and obviously when forced by the court to do something, they have no option but to comply.

but holy SHIT FUCK SONY and spez, of course.

  • Be honest, do you still use reddit?
  • I do, from desktop, mainly as force of habit.

my chosen mobile app, Relay, actually still works, but I am trying to train myself to use Lemmy more.

I just wish the content changed over faster, and there were more comments.

  • Reddit Refugees on Lemmy, how are you guys liking lemmy so far?
  • i found it challenging to understand how to subscribe to communities across instances until i discovered the Home icon in the top right of lemmiverse.net. i wish there was a quick 'subscribe' button there that would help you build up your subscriptions fast.

generally, i feel good about it. waiting for a few communities i really enjoyed to pop up- watchexchange and watches are big ones imo.

glad to see two huge F1 communities though!
