I mean, please don't get me wrong, I definitely agree with everything you said. It's just... we should also be doing a similar thing (supporting the good ones) when it comes to video platforms.
PeerTube, for example, is part of the Fediverse we're currently on. It really pisses me off whenever I see a Youtube link being shared through the Fediverse (and especially in a Lemmy community whose name is Privacy), given we do have alternatives.
It's been a little more than two years since I stopped using Youtube altogether (I don't even use the alternative front-ends). My boycott against Youtube isn't enough, because Youtube links keep popping up in Lemmy threads oftentimes. And because Lemmy would go a step further and try to embed the Youtube player in place of the hyperlink (therefore phoning Google automatically) when it's a thread (not your case, yours appears as a hyperlink because it's a comment), I had to manually add youtube.com and youtu.be iframe domains to my uBO network filtering.
Goes without saying, I don't have a Facebook, either.

Afinal, se os smartphones e redes sociais são prejudiciais às crianças e adolescentes, e certamente são, por quê não o seriam para os adultos?
Eu sei, supostamente adultos são capazes de "tomada de decisão" (tendo, por exemplo, o giro frontal totalmente formado), ao ponto de smartphones e redes sociais não terem o mesmo dano aos adultos... No entanto, esse argumento cai por terra quando vemos como fez-se necessário, por exemplo, o Brasil (na figura do Ministério da Fazenda) intervir e exigir um aviso/disclaimer para bets e casas de apostas, uma vez que adultos, supostamente capazes de tomada de decisão, estão se deixando levar pelas falsas promessas de "tigrinho". Por que, então, só as crianças e adolescentes vêm à baila quando discute-se proteção dos malefícios da tecnologia moderna?
Por outro lado, olho pra mim e não consigo não questionar a premissa anterior, de que "redes sociais" são a oitava praga do Antigo Egito. Hoje eu tenho 31 anos, mas me lembro como se fosse ontem quando aos 8 comecei a "brincar" com um computador e pavimentar boa parte do conhecimento que tenho hoje, incluíndo (mas não limitado a) programação. Quero dizer, aos 9 anos eu literalmente estava escrevendo códigos em Javascript, e foi parte do que me levou à área de T.I..
Fico pensando, se todas essas coisas, "verificação de idade/ECA DIgital", proibição de uso de computador para crianças, etc, se existissem essas coisas na época que eu tinha 8 anos de idade: eu não teria me tornado programador, talvez eu já até tivesse me matado considerando como o computador era, no final das contas, o refúgio pro bullying que eu sofria na escola... Esse último ponto, inclusive, me leva a uma discussão raramente feita: como as redes sociais, que têm o perigoso potencial de levar crianças a cometer suicídio (como o caso recente do Discord), também podem funcionar como uma espécie de canal de comunicação/proteção para crianças que estão sendo abusadas (não apenas no sentido sexual, mas também psicológico, moral, verbal, etc) foras das telas, dentro de seus próprios lares por pais e familiares, e/ou de suas próprias escolas por colegas e professores. E o mesmo acaba servindo para adultos; por exemplo, esposas de policiais vítimas de agressão doméstica e talvez pudessem ter nas redes sociais uma forma de denunciar o policial agressor sem que ele desconfie/descubra (mas a deanonimização que ECA DIgital implicitamente exige acaba "dando com a língua nos dentes" que a mulher está denunciando o policial).

Capitalism is practically a fundamental part of Evolution here in this Pale Blue Dot! In fact, Ms Hootie also told me she heard capitalism is very trendy in Gliese-581g either (hence why she's planning to do business there), and that the Big Bang was the "initial market boom" where the first CEOs and shareholders popped up into existence and extend the glorious invisible hand of the Market throughout the cosmos (it's especially handful if you got a wallet full of stocks like Ms Hootie has).

I would pay for me to be flung through the door frame and across the suddenly-empty hotel corridor, only for me to become stuck in an endless hallway trying to flee from the haunting spirit, doing an end-turn and getting to the exact same hallway leading to the only room whose door is roughly carved with my name followed by "you're eternally stuck at 3 AM, you know who I am, now you're fated to come to me", a black rose with sharp thorns hanging at the ice-cold electrified knob, some petals of Cestrum nocturnum scattered across the room, a large Latrodectus hanging from a thick spiderweb next to the bed covered with heart-shaped petals, two Dendroaspis polylepis guarding both ends of the corridor, and the only open window featuring a gigantic Blood Moon before a thick fog and a 2-meter-wingspan red-eyed Bubo bubo perched on the window frame and looking through my eyes right at my deepest fragment left of a soul.

Acredito que você tenha passado por um preconceito com relação à sua forma de expressão lá no Reddit; aqui, porém, não é o Reddit.
Embora o Lemmy no geral não seja 100% livre de preconceitos, eu sinto que o Lemmy Brasil é uma das instâncias do Lemmy onde as interações são melhores, mais acolhedoras, mais livres de preconceitos. A maioria de nós aqui saímos das redes sociais mainstream (Facebook, Twitter, etc) justamente por como os algoritmos dessas redes acabam promovendo preconceitos.
Com relação à falta de atividade por aqui, deve-se ao fato de que o Fediverso sofre do efeito network, onde as pessoas não vêm pra cá porque as pessoas não vêm pra cá (um paradoxo, portanto). Nesse sentido, o fato de você ter migrado de uma rede mainstream (Reddit) é parte do que precisamos para que mais trocas de conteúdo possam ocorrer. Mas, no lado positivo, o passo mais devagar significa possibilidade de conteúdos e interações mais humanas e menos robóticas (como é o caso de redes mainstream que são feitas para nos viciar).
Minha situação é similar, embora, no meu caso, o Reddit era praticamente uma conta esquecida que vez em quando usava em subs sobre ciências da computação e Supernatural. Minha familiaridade com o Lemmy (e com o fioverso em geral) se deveu mais à minha familiaridade com o finado Orkut e a estrutura de tópicos nas comunidades do Orkut.
I expect these restaurants, pubs and theatres to have no CCTV, either, otherwise it'd quite a hypocritical take if they prohibited non-consensual surveillance glasses while keeping non-consensual surveillance cameras. The same way I feel unsafe before someone wearing Duckerberg's glasses, I also feel unsafe before a surveillance camera whose footage Goddess-knows-who is getting access to (not to mention how most "modern" CCTV feeds their images to AI; wonder why most AI video generators get to generate, e.g., "doorbell camera footage" so easily?).
Also, IMHO, the prohibition on Meta glasses should be targeting the manufacturers (corporations such as Meta, but also Google and other companies developing similar aberrations) instead of just the users. Because, when users are the only ones to blame, society risks missing the forest for the trees, as the corps behind these aberrations would be left unbothered enough for them to work on "thinner frames for smartglasses" which would further pave the way for people like me, who have to wear high-myopia prescription glasses, to be lynched for my thin-framed dumbglasses just because human society would be so blinded by their (understandable) rage that they'd be judging me for the pair of glasses in front of my eyes I got no choice but to wear to live in said society (if I had to remove my prescription glasses in order to be allowed in, I wouldn't be able to watch your theatre play or getting to read your damn beverage menu, for example).

No pouco que cheguei a fazer uso do Akkoma, notei que o Akkoma não tem muita compatibilidade com fios do Lemmy e similares (talvez isso mudou, faz tempo que testei). Então pessoalmente trago meu segundo voto ao Misskey, principalmente derivações (forks) como o Sharkey e o Catodon. O legal do Catodon especificamente, a plataforma que venho usando, é que abarca recursos como Fóruns (integração mais nativa com o Lemmy/PieFed/MBin/etc e pela qual estou interagindo aqui com o fio), Blogs (com edição de publicação igual a de plataformas como Tumblr e Wordpress) e várias outras novidades que (ainda) não tem no Misskey.

Eu tava olhando aqui pelo The Federation e a plataforma que eu uso, Catodon, apesar de ser uma plataforma não tão conhecida no Fediverso, tem bem mais contas (845) que o GNU social (22). Em partes possivelmente porque o desenvolvimento do GNU social parece estar abandonado (como vou mencionar em um parágrafo adiante).
Outra coisa, a propria pagina de comunidades recomendadas do gnusocial não parece funcionar
Pois é, e não só isso: no rodapé tem um link para o repositório com o código-fonte do site todo, mas esse link está quebrado, apontando pra um domínio que sequer existe.
A página de Comunidades, pelo que vi atráves do código-fonte no navegador, apresenta uma espécie de "morte súbita" ainda durante a formação do cabeçalho HTML, no momento que vai puxar a declaração de uma folha de estilos (em outras páginas, a mesma linha está puxando a declaração de uma folha de estilos para incorporar a fonte tipográfica "opensans"), portanto alguma coisa no SSR (Server-side rendering), se é que usam um framework SSR (porque pode ser um servidor simples de HTML estático), está quebrada.
Isso e o fato de o link que levaria ao repositório estar quebrado me sugerem que o GNU social está descontinuado/abandonado, o que infelizmente acaba sendo o destino de muito projeto no Fediverso.

Talvez o maior atrativo dessa plataforma não fosse a riqueza de recursos, mas sim o alinhamento ideológico, sendo mais voltada a quem tem valores mais alinhados com o Projeto GNU e Richard Stallman, e não encontra nas diferentes soluções de Fediverso a mesma ênfase nos valores copyleft que o Projeto GNU abarca como um todo.
Por um lado, o TLD (domínio de nível do topo) de um domínio pouco diz sobre a credibilidade do site a esse associado, e (até onde sei) qualquer pessoa pode abrir um .org em registrars internacionais. Idealmente, um .org.br seria mais confiável no sentido de estar sob o TLD brasileiro .br (e até onde sei o registro.br tem regras mais rígidas para abertura de domínios). Para uma campanha brasileira, esperar-se-ia um .br no final do domínio.
Além disso, há um documento "Política de Privacidade" acessível por um link no rodapé do site, um documento cujos termos vinculam o site a um CNPJ de uma associação civil semfins lucrativos que já existe há vários anos, segundo a Receita Federal. Tais termos, aliás, apontam para um domínio .org: nossas.org.
Por outro lado, alguns detalhes desse site são, pra mim pessoalmente, questionáveis. Não vou entrar muito em detalhes técnicos, até porque são detalhes mais relacionados aos meus valores ideológicos anti-imperialismo-estadunidense (como minha oposição ao uso de um registrar estadunidense GoDaddy sendo que talvez pudessem ter usado um registrar brasileiro; minha desconfiança da utilização que ambos os websites da campanha e da associação estão fazendo de tecnologias como Google Tag e Amazon Web Services, tecnologias essas pertencentes a empresas estadunidenses Google e Amazon).
De qualquer forma, seja essa ou outras campanhas, independente de qual organização ou empresa for, e independente do TLD do(s) domínio(s) do(s) website(s) a esta associado(s), recomendo cada pessoa sempre checar por conta própria e decidir com base naquilo que está publicamente disponível e publicamente verificável: informações de WHOIS do domínio, políticas de privacidade, registro do CNPJ na Receita Federal, entre outros. A "política de privacidade" e consequentemente consulta do CNPJ na Receita Federal foram as primeiríssimas coisas que fui verificar antes de constatar as outras informações públicas como o WHOIS do domínio e as conexões de rede a terceiros (Google e AWS) que o website fez enquanto eu por ali navegava.

So, please MySpace, don't try to fool me with illusory hopes. Yahoo Messenger isn't coming back. Limewire and E-mule's "Every-Linkin-Park-album-ever-released.exe" aren't, either. To me, it has definitely nothing to do with system (KDE Plasma on Arch Linux) because Librewolf is the only piece of software in which accents don't work. Even AppImage programs, which often lack a better integration with the X Session, have no problem with accents.
Also, ABNT2 accents are correctly parsed by Waterfox, even by Basilisk and Pale Moon which I also got here, as well as by the original Firefox (which I keep for things such as internet banking), even though they all share the similar "under-the-hood" Gecko (Goanna in case of Pale Moon and Basilisk), so this problem is part of the Librewolf hardening.
In fact, the very Librewolf FAQ mentions this:

Problem is, even if RFP is turned off, this hardening keeps occurring, and it's PITA having to spin up a KDE Kate just to type something I can type directly in all the other browsers (including in the Geminispace's Lagrange browser and the TUI-based Lynx, both places in which accents wouldn't be even expected to begin with). So while I still have Librewolf among my browser installations, I only use it for things such as news outlets and certain websites because this is where it thrives, keeping some resemblance of private navigation.
My problem with librewolf is that, despite having RFP (Resist Fingerprint) off, it doesn't allow me typing accents from my ABNT2 (Brazilian) keyboard (I cannot type words such as "ração", "óbvio", "maltês", etc, I have to type them using kde plasma then copy and paste inside the browser), as if librewolf were US-centric. The devs didn't point me a solution when I opened an issue ticket, so I went with Waterfox instead. Waterfox allows me to type accents the way I'm accustomed as a Brazilian.
So far, it has been just one book. It's a physical book, a Portuguese translation of an originally anglophone book/grimoire. This book has been the only book I ever read from cover to cover.
Back when I read this book, I used to take it to this public place which I'd describe as a mall of pubs surrounded by a green park. I used to prowl around until I found a place to sit down, be it a public cement bench or some table from an empty pub, preferably the latter, and preferably away from people. I'd then open the page I last read, sometimes going back a few pages earlier so to re-read something, then I'd spend the rest of the night, or until I had the urge to leave, reading several pages of it. I rarely consumed beverages as I'd prefer reading while fasting, but when I did, it was often a beverage with vodka and redberry, or a malzbier.
Sometimes I'd also take it to the subway, but I'd be less likely to afford a nice reading as I'd rarely find available seats. Or I'd take it to the shopping mall, preferably somewhere in the terrace or somewhere as devoid of people as possible.
A few times I'd also take it to a cemetery; I'd sit in a bench, or a random tomb if no benches were available... but, then, it wouldn't take long before I'd get up, wander somewhere else in the cemetery to carve Her sigil/seal somewhere in a dirt patch and light up a incense stick and a red candle I'd bring to the cemetery.
I rarely read it when I was home. And yet, when I got to myself, I realized I managed to read it all. Almost 200 pages in total. Yeah, it's quite short, but it's very deep. It's the only book I keep visible, in my altar. Sometimes I catch myself reading it again to seek specific information.
I bought other books (e.g. Kybalion), but I'm yet to find a book which I'd read as obsessively as this one. Sometimes I guess my next book, a physical book, would be either Liber Al Vel Legis or whatever book She points me.
While I do hoard and read some e-books randomly (but not as cover-to-cover as I did), I prefer physical versions because, well, physical books have no batteries, no telemetry, and they can literally outlive me. The only thing I miss from physical books is having a Ctrl+F to search for a specific word/phrase.

I quite of second this. People often seem to forget the fact that everything we post to the Internet, unless it got some sort of password-lock or GPG/PGP/E2EE encryption, should be considered as already exposed or something...
And, hell, even with encryption, the recipient risks leaking it once they open it. Screenshot-lock? The recipient can take a photo of the screen with a second device, or use analog HDMI splitters (akin to how movie streams are pirated) to capture the thing digitally. Poisoning the well? The recipient can apply heavy photoshopping to it until the subpixel elements are rendered meaningless, or they can even rotoscope on top of the art before feeding it to VLMs (I highly doubt Nightshade and similar algorithms would be able to poison traced-over derivatives). File metadata and things such as alternative NTFS streams? Doesn't last long after being uploaded to a back-end, the most of which will likely strip it all for privacy/security reasons (e.g. because EXIF can sometimes carry geolocation data, so platforms may end up stripping EXIF altogether). Paywall? Nothing technically stops a buyer from uploading it somewhere else.
The only thing that could theoretically protect it after the publishing is the usage of licenses (e.g. Creative Commons, or All Rights Reserved), but, in practice, we know the only ones who could truly afford enforcing their licensing terms are those who can afford a legion of lawyers, namely studios such as Nintendo and Disney. We, amateur artists, we are neither a Nintendo nor a Disney.
And I say this as an artist myself. I once made a 3D model of an owl in Blender, fully sculpted from scratch (there's something magical in the fact that an UV sphere can become an entire character after treating the sphere like a ball of clay to be molded) and rigged/morphable. I'm very fond of this creation of mine, I love her, she is practically sacred to me, so sacred I don't want her to be misused. I don't want her to become a commercial product (original or derivative), and I know even a CC-BY-NC-SA wouldn't protect her from that because I couldn't afford one lawyer, let alone a legion of these, to sue whoever corporation or individual dared to misuse my creation. So I leave her unpublished because, while she's unpublished, nobody can do improper uses of her, not even AI corporations.
The moment me, as an artist, publish something online, I can't truly expect my creation not to be misused somewhere... So everything I publish, I publish with this in mind. I don't believe in "Intellectual Property" (bc ideas aren't apples to become scarce), but I believe in the fact that a creation risks misuse whenever it reaches some hand other than my own.
