As a user who uses a VPN and doesn't store cookies, I have to wait up to a minute basically every time I visit one of these sites. But I get it. I blame the bots, not the admins.
Why is profile encryption a first priority? The goal of people on LinkedIn is to be visible. Not that encryption is bad, but its not the most important thing. Consider the goals of such a tool and choose priorities that fulfill that goal. Which would be hosting a resume and discovering+connecting with other people in one's industry.
