  • That was exactly my first thought.

  • Another way to think about it is to say that education is the memorization of knowledge, while intelligence is the application of said knowledge. i.e. book smarts vs. street smarts. They aren’t the same things, but are two building blocks that work together.

At least that’s how I look at it.

  • After we finally got really good JavaScript support, it’s not entirely surprising that everyone went crazy with JavaScript. So it makes sense that now we start stepping back and reevaluate what genuinely needs to be JavaScript and what doesn’t. Especially now that HTML support has gotten so much better too.

  • No spoilers, so don’t worry.

All of the characters get better as the show progresses. Something for you to look forward to is the entire episode dedicated to Miles’ suffering. You’ll know not when you see it. That’s all I will say in the matter.

  • That is literally funny. And I’m not talking about Rob Lowe Literally.

  • It really depends on your bank or credit card issuer. Some places will accrue interest from the day of purchase until the day of repayment. It might be pennies for me and you, but I’m sure they make bank on their collective customer base. And deliberately making it difficult to pay off debt that causes additional charges should be illegal.

  • If you are like me and not sure what “post-quantum SSH security” means, you should read this. TL;DR it’s an algorithm believed to be unbreakable by quantum computers.

This. Don’t ever let anyone ever convince you that you’re an NPC in your life. You may not be someone else’s main character, but that’s okay. You are yours.

Believe me when I say there is nothing more debilitating than losing **your** sense of self in **your** life.

  • That’s actually a useful skill, and it’s good for the environment (and pocketbook/wallet) because you’re up-cycling something most people would just throw away.

  • While true to a small degree, it is very obvious how lopsided one side is in comparison to the other. But I wholeheartedly agree that us citizens are the ones left in the lurch and usually fighting with each other (class warfare).

  • Michael Vick better start sweating.

  • I don’t think any audiences are ready for graphic depictions of oo-mox. 😳

  • I’m sold.

  • Ironic considering how Reagan effectively lost his mind. Is it because he was a pot head?

  • Well I wish they would. They need to start respecting my boundaries.

  • This is tragic, but not for the obvious reasons. Despite him being a hateful man who added nothing of value to this world, his death will do the same. ITT there are a lot of people who Kirk has negatively impacted. While I don’t blame anybody for how they feel, no one should be cheering or dancing about somebody’s death. But here we are.

What concerns me most is that his death will not make things better for anybody. If anything, I worry that it’ll make things much worse. Those people who followed Kirk will now feel more emboldened in their ideology, and view Kirk as a martyr. Trump and his ilk will probably lash out with more bullshit EOs or enforcement of their illegal policing of innocent people.

Celebrate while you can, as we certainly live in interesting times.
