I had the same hope back in 2018 when Bolsonaro was elected in Brazil. Maybe this guy is just pretending to be insane and will be more reasonable once he's president. I know better now.
Same. To this day I can't listen to Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado without being thrown back to 2006 cause my cousin had bought that CD on release and played it all the time.
Yeah, I think geography is the main point here. As it stands, China's coast is fully surrounded by American allies in Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines and owning Taiwan could give them control of the surrounding waters allowing their cargo ships to safely pass through if things get ugly with the US.
The article makes a good point. There's little to no benefit in awarding a "Best Indie Game" prize for something under the wings of a megacorporation, these games at the very least already have the PR needed to be succesful. Let actual indie games have their time in the spotlight. I was going to argue that AA is still an useful label for games, if not as a measure of quality (as AAA also isn't) at least as a measure of how much investment or manpower went into making them, but ultimately I like their suggestion a lot more: Mainstream, Alternative and Indie, it's clean and should cover most cases.
Thanks for the recommendation. I looked him up and to my surprise the first video that showed up was of him here in Brazil walking in the middle of absolute nowhere talking nonstop about every single plant he finds on the ground. I am hooked.
New Star Soccer! I was playing it today actually, I kid you not. I used to play it as a flash game all the time back in the day but it feels much better on Android with a touch screen. Such a fun little game to pass the time.
Smartphones are so big nowadays I'd be down to using a flip phone instead, if only they weren't still so damn expensive. I like that form factor and the foldable screen technology seems pretty mature by now. Also, closing the phone to end a call will never not be cool.
I don't think the locals are too worried about Japanese imperialism.
