What is the dumbest thing sleep deprivation made you do?
  • These comments are starting to make me think that driving tired is as bad or worse than drunk driving.

  • Hello, World!
  • Hello from another self hosted instance comrade!

  • Most young people are no longer proud to be Americans, poll finds
  • The act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue

It's almost like people care a great deal about issues that directly affect them

  • LF: Anime/Manga about self-improvement/enlightenment/monk lifestyle
  • Vagabond is about a ruthless samurai warrior going on a journey to become "Invincible Under the Sun", eventually coming to learn about the value of life and what he truly wants out of his life. It's a masterpiece of a story that I think everyone should read.

  • What apps/websites do you use to read manga?
  • Tachiyomi + MangaReader.to on the web/as an extension

  • Nothing that fancy. I'm running nginx with reverse proxies and self signed SSL certificates.

  • Thank you! You may like the gruvbox theme that I have in my dotfiles repo more than this one. It's the same setup, just different GTK, wallpaper and colors.

  • Krabby, I found it on the AUR.

  • Thanks! It's polybar, I couldn't figure out spacing with the default bar so I just gave up on using it.

  • Aw crap, now it's gonna bother me too. Nothing that can't be fixed with a little editing though.

  • Manjaro will break on you a lot more often than EndeavorOS will because of their release schedule. Should be ok if you stay away from the AUR but that kinda defeats the biggest selling point of using an Arch-based distro in the first place. Manjaro is the one and only distro that I actively ward people away from.

  • What are the bad patterns of Reddit to never repeat on Lemmy?
  • ngl, i dun got nothin just wantd to irk you

  • What operating system do you use on your main computer?
  • I also use Arch but I'd honestly be totally open to switching to Debian. I see no reason to hop though, the AUR just makes things too convenient. I run Debian on both of my home servers and it's totally bulletproof. Those servers do not crash.

  • Right here with you. I've slowed it way down recently, thankfully. Went from 86 shots of vodka in a day to half a beer. I'm done with being drunk all the time, I just don't, can't enjoy it anymore. Helps to avoid drinking when I remember that.

  • Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?
  • As the rest of this thread seems to be saying, yeah Bitwarden seems to be the way to go. I've been using it for years and it's way too convenient not to have (not to mention the security benefits).

  • What app is everyone using for Lemmy
  • Liftoff and Thunder are my two favorites until Boost for Lemmy comes out.

  • Is music piracy dying?
  • Deemix is how I get access to .flac downloads. Yea, I still am paying for Deezer, but it's also technically still piracy. I have 345.7 GiB of music downloaded currently on my NAS and I play it with DeadBeeF or foobar2k if I'm on Windows.

  • With all the new original content I am reminded of a classic
  • No, no. I think I actually was the one who made this.
