There's a similar thing called Delectables that our cat goes nuts for. I never thought about it for medicine, but it's great for distracting her if we need to shave a mat out of her fur.

I'm going to cheat slightly and say the Perfect Dreyfus series by Alastair Reynolds. Even though they're set in the distant future, they still follow the detective novel formula in my opinion.

Michigan has 2 out of the 3 National Lakeshores in the country: Sleeping Bear and Pictured Rocks. Both are beautiful scenic areas with many different activities. They're great summer activities.
