Since you seem a bit slow I'll spell it out for you; they can do whatever they want with the site and how it operates but they don't own the people who use it. Those people, despite any oppressive changes r*ddit makes, will still exist and continue to be a community even if they have to migrate elsewhere- whether it be to discord, lemmy, kbin, or anywhere else.

When they first launched the bing AI powered by GPT I used it for everything, then it became pretty clear they nerfed it and I've been waiting for a competitor to catch up. Bard's gotten a little better, but it hallucinates way worse still, making up answers.
