  • That is yuck. Sometimes you do need to wash them properly with soap and everything, and just re-season them or whatever the cast iron enthusiast say.

That's reminds when people don't clean their BBQ and it's this smelly source of fat going bad.

  • If it's a plaster wall / dry wall don't use the masonry anchors mentioned by the other person lol.

Just go to a hardware store and ask for a 'hollow wall anchor'. My favourite type is wall mates. Watch a youtube video on how to put them up with any cheap screwdriver!

(If it matters I use this stuff daily in my job)

  • Linux @lemmy.ml

First time - which distro is best for me?

  • I had this, but then I got a job which requires me to be in remote places all week, working alone. It turned out I learned how to enjoy my own company but it took a while. I guess if you wanted to try going camping alone or something you could trial that out, it wouldn't hurt.

  • I feel the same way. I don't understand why someone cant talk about Harry potter and still show support for pride month. I understand not buying things as cancel culture is logical if you are into that.

  • Yep agree. The tradie tools have got the right thing going. You get a couple batteries and then the tool skins, like vacuums or blowers. The battery dies after a few years and you just get another.

And I agree those ones with soldered in batteries feel like they're meant to be disposable. The corded vacuums are what you need for carpet or anything else though. Nothing beats a wet/dry shop vacuum haha
