I am in a similar situation, even though I've switched my DE to sway, I'm stuck on Pop OS 22.04.

Since I actually liked COSMIC on my tests I'm waiting for its release and I actually might switch my DE to it, so I'm hesitant on moving to another distro.

You can get game specific emoticons/profile customizations that you can use in your Steam chats, or your profile.

If you're used to splitgate 1 binds, would heavily reccomend to adjust controls to set left and right portal binds instead of being forced to use one button. Other than that, I really liked it. The powerup idea seems broken when you first see it, but all of them feel counterable with portal play.
