  • It honestly took me a second to recognize Sam Neil, he looks so different from the last time I saw him in anything (which is ironic cause I recognized his voice instantly in the Rick and Morty episode he was in).

  • Ilhan Omar says the DFL's decision demonstrated the "clear tension between the progressive Democrats who are challenging the status quo and moderate Democrats."

We need to stop calling them "moderate" Democrats. We need to name them what they are because there's nothing moderate about them. They are conservative Democrats. They are basically 1980s Republicans.

  • You should read the article. In the pole referenced Newsom is in 6th place. He got a higher than expected percentage of the poling which the author has blown up here with their deceptive clickbaity headline. Possibly in an effort to make people think that Newsom is the favorite.

Not that I'd be really happy to vote for the actual favorite in the pole which is Kamala Harris. Though I would absolutely vote for her over Newsom any day of the week.

  • At some point you people are going to have to accept the fact that there were extenuating circumstances in 2020. And without those Trump would have been a consecutive two-term president.

If the Democrats shove Newsom down our throats we'll have another GOP president following Trump.

  • Meanwhile I'm sitting here with my ADHD brain that is unable to read the first two sentences of a manual without losing focus and thinking about 15 other things and marveling at those can actually get through something like that and have it stick in their brain longer than 5 minutes.

  • Now recontextualize this using modern sci-fi that looks toward multiple centuries from now. Star Trek's egalitarian socialist utopia would never come to pass and the most likely future is that of Frank Herbert's Dune, where nearly 8,000 years from now we have a galactic feudal society where the ultra wealthy fight for control over limited resources while using religion to manipulate the poor into being their cannon fodder.

  • Kind of figured it was bullshit. Especially since Trump's relationship with Epstein kind of evaporated thereabouts of the early 2000s. Way more than 10 years. Now if we can get records from the mid to late 90s...
