  • For me the anticheat can win. It's just less fighting on the grounds where the cheaters have advantage (their hardware they have full control of), and on the grounds where they can't control instead, by monitoring behaviour. chess.com is a winning example, no anti cheat software required, yet they can catch cheaters who use a different hardware for assistance (play on PC and lookup moves on phone).

  • The first Hollow Knight was released at the same price. They never had a guarantee, yet they still delivered the game with basically the same quality level that leads to Silksong being so highly anticipated.

They just did more of what they are doing without asking for more DESPITE their first game blew up. For comparison, you could look at CDPR keeps expanding due to their initial Witcher success and lands on the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 (GOG is still a really good thing they end up making though)

  • ya low defederation is the way, defederation should only be done to instances that causes abuses by allowing large amount of bot accounts/DDOS-ing the fediverse/allow rampant ban evasions, not when you don't like the content (blocking should remain on individual basis)

  • e-mail hasing is viable if you are only using your email for sign in and account recovery. Unfortunately it's not happening because every service would also want to send you periodical emails about other stuffs.

  • Mastodon is a thing, so is BlueSky. Sometimes you just need to let go and start anew (not even from zero, you just inform your active followers where to find you, people who don't follow are probably inactive anyways, YOU are the content, YOU have the power to move people), and such effort is needed if you are interested in maintaining a decent community (I seen a lot of people are too afraid to prune their communities because numbers would go down)

  • It's always some kind of projection, these are the people who get triggered by the mere existence of LBGTQ people.

They legitimately think their reaction is normal so these posts would trigger the muslims too.
