  • So, I cannot (read: not allowed to) say exactly what I am using (it is a prototype Android device) but it isn't rooted at all. So, maybe it is 70% FOSS. I used ADB to remove and disable everything Google I could (I left keyboard, dialer, contacts, webview) and everything I use comes from F-Droid.

    Honestly, too many to choose from. My phone is 99% FOSS right down to the icons.

  • Shreddit is a program to remove all your Reddit comments
  • shreddit is a good choice for this job. There are others (can't recall the names off the top of my head). If you are new to this sort of thing, be advised that you will be granting access to your account when you use these apps so remember to remove the access token when you are done. Of course, if you plan on deleting the account there is less of a concern here.

  • Oh wow, look at that: They did deactivate downvoting... Well, there are still ways to downvote but I guess if it is hidden on the web it serves their purpose. You're not the only critic.

  • I group a bunch of RSS feeds into one megafeed. They are similar in a way and there is overlap. I might find one article that I understand or care to read a day, but they keep me up to date in a way.
