HGGBB Gundam Livelance Heaven (Day 3)
This is actually one of my first kits, but I had never taken any photos of it. I figured this attempt at a streak was a good excuse to snap some.
I \love\ this kit. The cloaked paladin to seraphim transformation is my favorite part. If I had the chance to redo this kit, I'd paint the sticker spots and use some legitimate panel lining fluid instead of my homemade gray.
@Akaru88 And here I was complaining about the color of the beam javelin. Surely the SB-13 runner they used in the Full Weapon Set wouldn't have cost that much to add to the original.
@Akaru88 This is the Full Weapon Set version, so it comes with a few extras. Really the only reason I bought it. It looks like the beam rifle and shield are the same, but I can't tell if the normal EG comes with any beam effects. Mine came with two, so I robbed one for my EG nu custom.
@tamiya_tt02 I thought the Entry Grade nu was a surprisingly fun build. I bought the normal color and used it for a custom paint job. Good work on the build!

EG RX-78-2 Assembled (Day 2)
It is fully assembled now. My current idea is to gloss coat the whole thing (maybe after painting the eyes and head cameras) and then start into the battle damage process. We'll see how far I actually go with it.
The kit itself is a study in plastic optimization and not a terrible copy of the Grandad.

@wirelesswire I've been looking at the HGGQ Red Gundam just for that articulated Gundam Hammer
@TallonMetroid Yeah I honestly had assumed it was a weapon I hadn't seen yet until I read the box again. There's no way I can paint it clear, but maybe I'll do a metallic pink at some point in the future.

EG RX-78-2 Full Weapon Set (In Progress)
I'll try to continue Akaru's streak for a few days, but my building schedule isn't terribly consistent and I'm out of existing photos.
I mainly bought this kit for the weapons. I have the RG 2.0 sitting in the box, but I love the Gundam Hammer and I think the Beam Javelin is pretty neat. Since this would be Granddad # 4, I figure I'll use it to practice battle damage and weathering.

RG Gundam Epyon (In Progress)
Somewhat of a progress update on my #RealGrade #Gundam Epyon build. I'm working on the decals, but it is very slow going (this picture was taken mid June).
@gundam Just remembered that Lemmy only shows the first image so here's the "Aerial for scale"

HGAC Leo
I took a break from (not) putting decals on Epyon to build a quick kit and grabbed #highgrade Leo. I was concerned it wouldn't turn out well, but I'm very happy with it.
HG Aerial for scale
@Akaru88 Great build! Some gold Gundam Marker would make that heat hawk pop.
@Akaru88 You painted all of that with a Gundam Marker? And here I thought airbrushing the inner frame was too much work. Fantastic job.
@Akaru88 That looks fantastic! Wonderful metallic color. I'd be tempted just to display it like that (although I just love Zaku and Zaku adjacent suits)
@Akaru88 Only one of my 1/144 kits came with a pilot figure. Much sad. The MG's come with a ton, though. Too bad I don't have a 1:100 scale scene base.
@Akaru88 I love scene bases so much. Especially that style, where it looks like they're being built or maintained. I actually 3D printed some roughly 1:144 scale technicians for mine, although enough (relatively rare) 1:144 scale pilot figures would probably look a lot better.
@MyDarkestTimeline01 There's a Bandai Hobby link now, so your preferred store may have it available for preorder. I know a couple US stores do. Looks like it'll be 70 USD, a bit more than even the Vidar.
@gundam I took another picture to demonstrate the secondary manipulators and thought it looked nice enough to post. Grass is not to scale :blobcatupsidedown:

Wow you aren't wrong. That thing is kind of creepy. I believe the RB-79 Ball here is inspired by deep sea exploration crafts, and looking at the TMNT stills they may share that inspiration.

MG RB-79 Mobile Pod Ball Ver. Ka
Ball! :blobcataww:
No decals yet, and I'm considering painting the internal cage structure gunmetal (although I don't plan to display its inner frame). The 3(!) pilot figures that came with it have to be painted, too. Long term, it'll probably live on my desk at home or at work.
(Quick detour; I'll get started on Epyon next)

@MelodiousFunk I agree. Honestly despite having never watched GTO this is still what I see when I think "RX-78-2"
@MyDarkestTimeline01 Thank you! I really enjoyed the build *cough besides the hands cough*.

MG GTO RX-78-2 (Complete)
I finally finished all the weapons for the #MasterGrade #GundamTheOrigin #RX\_78\_2. This thing has so many extras. I didn't even show off any of the effect pieces in this photoshoot. The shoulder cannon is a neat addition to the design (compared to MSG), and I really like the new beam rifle. Overall, a fantastic kit.
I do still need to paint the pilot figures, but at this point I have a handful that I'll paint all at once.
@MyDarkestTimeline01 I've noticed almost all the specialized online stores I do use tend to use Shop as their back end even on their websites.
@MyDarkestTimeline01 I've never used Gundam Companion. I'll keep them in mind next time I go to buy a kit online. I have a sizable backlog keeping me busy at the moment, though.

MG GTO RX-78-2
No full photoshoot yet, since I haven't finished all its weapons, but here's a brief look at #MasterGrade #GundamTheOrigin #rx\_78\_2. The LED looks really good in decent light, and it's super bright in the dark (maybe a bit too bright; might paint the inside of the top of its head to keep the light from bleeding through).
I won't complain too much about the hands (again), but I do wish they had included some fixed pose holding hands.

HG Gundam Aerial and Mirasoul
While I waited on the results from my previous poll, I built the HG Gundam Aerial to go with my previously built HG Mirasoul. This was a very satisfying build, and a result I'm very happy with. No varnish was used on Aerial, but I had to topcoat the Mirasoul due to all the curved surface stickers.
I think this one will replace HG Grimgerde as my live-at-work kit.
(sorry for the upside down heels)

I made this to share some of my #hobby pictures, primarily #gunpla and #ActionFigures. He/Him. Once I figure this out, I may migrate to #pixelfed.
