What is something you think leftists are not ready to hear but need to hear it?
  • Look up indigenous socialism. Those tend to work. They tend to get crushed by larger powers but they work internally. Unless of course you mean by work you mean be the mightiest. Yeah no.

There's also things like the Paris commune.

  • What is something you think leftists are not ready to hear but need to hear it?

That's leftists. Not Democrats. Anyone to the left of Democratic socialist. So not Bernie Sanders either.

Are there any communities or instances on this website for Asians or people of color to talk about racial politics?

I need something like that in my life. A lot of them can be somewhat reactionary and sometimes a little right wing. Not always completely but I think sometimes it can get weird.

You are among politically-minded individuals who range in flavors of leftism. Then one of the members says that they used to be a neo-Nazi. How would you react?
  • Is a person who has been studying neo-Nazism I can probably tell you.

The answer is things like insecurities and hang ups that people have. For example this one person was living in an abusive home. He didn't really feel respect ed and his stepfather was incredibly abusive.

But then there were some people that actually paid attention to him and cared about what he had to say. He felt a connection and joined a neo-Nazi group. He left at some point because the book is about a former neo-Nazi but yeah.

It was easy for him to hate minorities because he already hated the world. The world that wasn't kind to him.

He was convinced by these neo-Nazis that the reason why his father is a drunk and alcoholic and why his life is so s*** is because of the Jews. Yep. somehow the Jews are able to do that.

And he fell for it too because he was only 14 years old.

  • What is your opinion on deradicalization/deNazication programs?
  • Yes, because the ultimately didn't get rid of the root of the problem and so they go back to their ways. Very similar to how a person who doesn't do rehab correctly or had a bad experience with it will go back to using drugs when things get hard because that's their coping mechanism.

They need to have better coping mechanisms.

The exit program in Germany for example has a 3% recidivism rate. Not too bad.

  • What is your opinion on deradicalization/deNazication programs?

I'm talking about programs like life after hate or those exit programs in Europe.
