[ New Beta Release ] Mlem for Lemmy 1.3 Beta 0
  • Looking good, as always!

  • Guides for working settings for each game
  • Enter this command into your terminal:

    lspci -k | grep -A 2 -E "(VGA|3D)"

The output will contain "NVIDIA Corporation" in the compatible controller and subsystem section and "nvidia" in the kernel driver in use section.

  • Is it impossible to copy text from a post or a comment?
  • Definitely seems like a huge oversight. The only workaround I can think of is to take a screenshot, select the text to copy, then delete the screenshot. That is very far from ideal though.

  • Guides for working settings for each game
  • With such low FPS, it sounds like you’re using nouveau and not the proprietary NVIDIA driver. How did you install your drivers?

  • [ NEW BETA RELEASE ] Mlem for Lemmy 1.2
  • I’ve been looking forward to this update after seeing all the commits on GitHub. So far so good, the update feels and looks great!

  • KONAMI update the METAL GEAR SOLID Steam collection with Steam Deck support
  • I played through MGS1 in its entirety on my Steam Deck a few weeks ago with no issues. I started 2, but there were issues with the audio on the radio so I gave up on it. This update supposedly fixes that. There also was no way to actually exit the game without just force closing it. I can’t comment on 3 though personally, I haven’t tried it yet.

  • Goodbye to Roblox on Linux with their new anti-cheat and Wine…
  • No. The source for this “article” is from May. I’m not sure why they’re posting about it now.

  • Apple to Limit iPhone 15 USB-C Cables to USB 2.0 Speeds: Report
  • They still come with cables, just not bricks. That’s pretty much across the board on all phone manufacturers unfortunately.

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • I’ve been playing the Dead Space mobile game on my hacked Vita. I had almost forgotten how good some mobile games used to be.

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • Care to elaborate on this? I love both open-source and VR, but have never really thought to pair the two.

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • I also love installing, customizing, and exploring new operating systems. I recently came across NixOS and it is the most interesting OS I’ve seen in a while. Have you checked it out before?

  • What is a hobby you enjoy, but seems too quirky or obscure to bring up in most conversations?
  • I came here to say this. Trying to fully explain usually leads to confusion, so I just simplify it and say they’re plastic models kits.

  • Feature request - disable gestures
  • Voyager has a native iOS app. It even has an Apple Watch companion.

  • Latency just still isn't there unfortunately
  • The low battery noise always made me jump because it was so foreign to me. I would regularly charge them when I just felt like it so hearing that noise always confused me at first. I had to replace the ear cups but just a few months ago the power switch finally broke on me. I still miss it.

  • [Full spoilers] I'd like to discuss Final Fantasy XVI in full
  • In regards to your second point…did you see the after credits cutscene?

  • YSK: You can use Libreddit instead of Reddit for more privacy and no ads (and no traffic/views for Reddit)
  • I’ve exclusively used a selfhosted instance of libreddit for a while now and always loved it. I haven’t used it very much since all the API drama. I am now wondering how long libreddit will last.
