  • What sort of additional information?

  • This would have been a very low flying aircraft, flying directly in to a very energetic thunderstorm! I have the 100MP original stills too, and there is no sign of an aircraft that I can make out

  • Well, it turns out I can use emails from facebook in that time period as proof, and I've got plenty of those. However... I would need to provide my ID to facebook to make a claim, and the reason I no longer have a facebook account is my adamant refusal to provide my ID to them.

So thus it ends before it begins :)

  • I was active back then, but I no longer have an active facebook account, so I have no easy way to confirm my eligibility.

  • Sorry, I was trying to be outright hostile, not passively.

  • There are no widely federated edgelord instances at this point in time

  • It's something that you would not have thought, let alone said, if a cis woman had talked about enjoying her date having an erection when they hugged. Your comment served no point except to diminish the positivity that a trans person was feeling after a positive dating experience. If you read the sidebar, this particular community is "a supportive community for all transfeminine or questioning people"

Nothing you said was supportive, and this community is not the place for it.

  • Wine and running! Though not at the same time. I probably would hate that

  • You're right about that, and if I ever do go back, that will be why! But the sameness I was talking about is more the cultural identities of the countries. Every place we stayed felt like it could be transplanted to Australia, and fit right in. It might be different if I wasn't Australian :)

  • I've never been to the US, so I can't say I won't go there again, but I can say I won't go there at all.

But in terms of countries I have been to, probably New Zealand. There's nothing wrong with New Zealand, but it feels too much like Australia, and baring me suddenly developing an unlimited amount of time and money, there are other places I would rather go

  • Hey. This isn't a trans specific community. Blahaj Lemmy meta is for people needing to talk to the admins, or talk about issues with our lemmy instance etc.

There's lots of trans communities it would belong in though!

!trans@lemmy.blahaj.zone would be a good fit

  • You should include a link to the community in the format people can use to access it locally on their own instances.

    ie !LanguageLearning@lemmy.zip

  • Piefed and lemmy are both group actor based activitypub platforms, and Piefed is explicitly designed to be compatible with lemmy, simply because lemmy has the traction/momentum in the activitypub niche they both exist in.

The difference isn't protocol based, it's just a piefed design decision and one that could easily be changed if a dev gets the chance to put some time in to it.

  • "We have no idea how it got there, atop a pillar covered with the graffiti of all the people who have previously been to that exact spot"

  • I use Kagi. Paying for a search engine isn't something that I ever saw myself doing, but I do honestly believe it's the only way they can exist that means the users are the customers instead of the product.

  • Danica was the name I told myself I'd use if I ever transitioned. Then I transitioned and discovered it doesn't fit me.

  • Ok, somehow lemmy.world ended up on our defederation list.

I don't have the first clue how that happened, but I've removed it from the list, and content should start flowing again.

  • I couldn't really say. Sometimes, I just get a feeling one way or the other
