I maintain he'll outlive me. Which can have more than one interpretation lol.
He's was in perfect health according to the vet, up until the latest visit when we discovered a heart murmur. Monitoring it to see if it starts having symptoms. Hopefully none.
I'm not running an OLED but my monitor is HDR capable and I prefer the look, however I don't run it in HDR mode. Reason being, it fucks with my OBS recordings and I have to up the quality significantly for them to be usable, which ups the storage requirements.
Hmm, maybe some other interaction / conflict? Never experienced this on both my desktop (Arch, Wayland, Gnome) or my work PC (Fedora Silverblue, so Wayland and Gnome but slightly behind).
The amount of power those screens use is peanuts compared to the drive train.
I can chill in my car with AC, screens, and charge my steam deck for hours and my battery only goes down a couple %.
My car uses 1KW in that state. That's as precise as it shows me, so I'm guessing it's rounded up. Taking it at face value, with a 65KWh battery it would take 65 hours to drain completely (I like easy math).
My main issue with the singular "God" portrayed in many mainstream religions is that it's billed as omnipotent and all powerful.
If a person has the ability to, through action, prevent great harm, and just ignores it - that is not the type of person I want to be, more or less "believe in". If you're all powerful and you allow children to be maimed for life, die young, starve, etc. - you aren't worth an ounce of my faith. And save the classic "but if he intervened it would interfere with our free will" bullshit.
I've considered religions with many gods, like Norse Paganism - I'm just not the religious type, but if I were, something where gods are fallible is much more believable.
Usually when I suspect a hardware issue I start by unplugging every external device that isn't the keyboard. If that does the trick, in they go again one by one. Otherwise, it's time for hardware to get the same treatment. Unfortunately your processor doesn't have on board graphics, so unless you have a donor system you can borrow a known working good GPU from, I'd probably try and reseat the GPU (remove, maybe canned air to blow out slot, back in).
I'm not sure how I'll handle when it's his time to go. Just the mere thought makes me tear up.
