Transitions are hard
  • I have a 3D printer at work, good idea!

  • Haha we'll be moving next year and I swear, a proper shower is high on my list of demands! European landlords are fairly strict about even the tiniest structural changes. Granted, a shower curtain is negligible but as mentioned in another comment, our bathroom is tiny.

  • Ha I wish :( It's a drafty European flat from the 1910s, the bathroom is 1,5 meters by 3 meters and there's a so called "shame wall" between loo and tub that is a weird wooden privacy panel. A shower curtain would make this tiny room even more cramped unfortunately which is mainly why we never wanted to go to the trouble. That being said, its a nice place during the warner months!

  • Transitions are hard
  • Thanks didn't know that these existed!

  • Imagine my displeasure at having to shower without a shower curtain for 2 years. Never bothered to put one up bc I didn't think I'd live in this apartment for this long... I hate every minute of showering in the winter.

(Also, it's not an ADHD thing in my case, the bathroom is a weird shape that doesn't allow for a simple rod and curtain, I'd have to get a semi custom glass wall installed)

  • Two explorers looking at their ship, 'Terra Nova', during an Antarctic expedition, 1911
  • I seem to remember they found Scott's notes, as well as documentation, including photos (plates?) of them at Amundsen's abandoned tent when they found the bodies but can't find a source just now.

  • Ponies aboard the ship 'Terra Nova' during an Antarctic expedition, 1910
  • The sled dogs were eaten too, if I remember correctly.

  • I'm always so sad seeing the Scott expedition photos knowing that these guys in this image were doomed. THe British crew would have felt so horrible spotting the Norwegian flag at the South Pole, after what they went through. I've read the accounts and went through these beautiful images, it's so harrowing to know their fate.

  • ADHD Women Weekly Check-In for Nov 26-Dec 2: How is everyone doing?
  • Yes, Marc Rebillet, specifically the early live streams are fun if you don't mind the swear words! But yeah, early 80s are great for jammig out too, I love mindless, erratic dancing!

  • ADHD Women Weekly Check-In for Nov 26-Dec 2: How is everyone doing?
  • Ooh I love doing that! We always put on Loop Daddy while we're cooking dinner and I usually dance and hop around more than I cook. I totally agree, this always lifts my mood!

  • ADHD Women Weekly Check-In for Nov 26-Dec 2: How is everyone doing?
  • I forgot how much a work out can do to help with my mood. I have been a lot more sensitive to sounds and triggers this last week, and I've been feeling so much better today, after going to the gym. How's everyone else approaching this, any tips for motivating myself to go to the gym when the weather sucks and you just want to stay at home?

  • Here to help engagement with a lil game
  • Thankfully, I find some of these not fitting as much, like I was lucky enough to fall into jobs where talking and moving around were interpreted as motivation and enthusiasm. The hobbys though, I feel that... Learned to not invest a ton and get used supplies to minimise costs.

Also a good rule, must be something I can use after crafting it. No (ok, fewer) trinkets to remind me that I abandoned another.hobby, but rather "Hey I made that and its so useful still!"

  • "Video game night" by Vadim Shishkin
  • Just want to rest my eyes on this image, very nice anesthetic!

  • The collection steadily keeps growing
  • Wait till you find out there's colors other than green :) Seriously, I love all the pastel colored ones, they remind me of candy!

  • While I hated these repetitive comments on reddit, I actually think this obe is a most welcome tradition to post under any and all Trump posts - just this one, single comment and nothing else.

  • Recommendations for podcasts to fall asleep to?
  • Yup and they gave a large archive too! Other recommendations: Nothing much happens, and Boring books for bedtime.

  • What’s a painful experience you haven’t had in years?
  • Oh my god same! I'm prone to allergies so I figured it came from the pressure changing upon decent decent but I would have freaked out if I hadn't known what it was! Hurt like a bitch, I could even feel my tear ducts pulsing!

  • What was the most surprising change you noticed after starting medication?
  • Oh my god, yes! Less frustration, less anger at insignificant things, and I guess less "cunty" overall which is the most important benefit for me. Just like you, I feel like a total asshole when I'm not medicated, and I don't like myself very much in these situations...

  • Foam mod and battery - can I cover the battery?

As the title says, I was wondering if there's any concerns regarding the battery life or fire hazard if I cover the battery with foam? Should I cut the foam to fit around the battery? I've seen people do both online.

I have some denser, rubber like foam as well as a more fluffy one, looking for deeper sound. TIA!

What are your "favorite" chores and how did you make them ADHD-friendly?

I'll start! I invested in a cordless vacuum, primarily because it came with a pet hair accessory but turns out, I love to use it for a quick dopamine hit! Getting a room or two to look clean-ish without the commitment of finding an outlet and dragging a chunky vaccum across the room is a massive help!
