  • So are you saying the "hide that you are using tails from your isp" option doesn't work? Does it still show you are using TOR?

  • I have never understood that.
  • That's how you spot the NPCs in the simulation

  • Voice referendum: Australia to hold historic Indigenous vote in October
  • The yes side has not done very well with this.

While I think something should be done, the yes side hasn't made a good argument.

Giving one group of people extra rights based on their racial heritage and putting it in the constitution.

Telling us how and what,.. AFTER it is voted on

    AFTER.

You know,.. "just trust us, we will work out the details later"

  • bbSes, Door Games and retro software like its 1989?!
  • Yep, Sounds like an old MUD (was an "immortal"(programmer) on a MUD for a while)

  • Anyone here getting Diablo 4?
  • If past patterns continue, I'll wait for the micro transactions to ramp so high people get outraged, items get nerfed/pumped/micro'd. Blizzard milk the whales for a bit. When they can't get much more out of the whales they say "we are sorry, we fixed it and removed most micro's" . (And keep the money)

Then it will be the "regular player" cycle of expansions and a more polished game. So maybe 1-2 years time?

  • Examples of good basebuilding mechanics
  • If you can handle playing older games, "fortresscraft evolved" is an interesting combination of Minecraft, Tower defence and Factorio. Think Minecraft, but thousands of blocks down to bedrock, conveyors, turrets, elevators and Lazer power systems. The voxel world is impressive in how it runs. Has a tiered tech tree and block breaking/placement is incredibly fast. Also well priced these days.

I enjoy voxel games sometimes, in this game you can break and build really fast, place rows of conveyors/blocks. So what makes this a good example of enjoyable base building? I'd say you can build nearly as fast as you have ideas, test and try things quickly. Make crazy solutions to problems. Making a mega factory/base that may span thousands of blocks.

  • What are some building subscription list/finding communities Tips and Tricks?

Many newbs are washing up here, myself included. What are good ways to get the most out of Lemmy? (Using Jerboa)

There isn't an algorithm, so I guess we need to self filter and manage a good sub list.

At first glance I'm guessing, use the "all" feed. Block communities that are irrelevant, sub to interests and leave the undecided ones alone. Repeat on different sort options, Repeat for specific hosts.

What are your tricks for finding interesting content and building a sub list.

  • I'm only a 6 year clubber on Reddit, but using RIF for most of it, couldn't stand how the app was going. Nowadays it's the content as well. Going to be exploring around here now
