What are some privacy focused forms of entertainment?
  • Board games with friends and family. My brother rotates hosting board game night with his friends and it's great fun.

  • Dev of crowdfunded WW1 survival-horror game CONSCRIPT cancels Linux and macOS versions
  • "For me to support these versions, I would likely lose money because the user base is just not there (both of these platforms account for roughly 0.6% of all my Steam wishlists)."

That's not a good metric to go off of bud. If I had backed this, I'd be feeling some kind of way right now. Unfortunately, as a Linux user, this is just par for the course. Devs promising a Linux Version only to cancel it later happens often enough that it's almost expected at this point. Blech!

  • 999 subscriber special
  • Spike the office water cooler with that RTFM bottle. Cut down on trouble tickets by about 90%.

  • Don't give up
  • Me, give up? Never!

  • Another Millennium BBS * GRAND OPENING *
  • Wow, that was really nice! Called in, read some messages, left one of my own, and even had a nice chat with akacastor. Give them a ring. Oh, also forgive the autocorrect on my initial comment. *one out

  • Another Millennium BBS * GRAND OPENING *
  • Oh cool! Gonna check this out a not later. Leaving a comment so I don't forget.

  • Anyone have favorite Final Fantasy characters? (including FFVII)
  • That's a tough one. Three favorites off the top of my head would be Cecil from 4, Steiner from 9, and zidane also from 9 (when he's not being overdramatic).

  • Important addition
  • Oh hey! I'm not the only one who watched Event Horizon and thought, "Yep, that's what you dummies get for going into the warp without a gheller field generator."

  • [Forever-free Friday] *MineTest* (the FOSS Minecraft-like)
  • Love me some minetest! There's quite a few good games for it. I'd recommend:

    -Exile -Hades Revisited -Nodecore

-Mineclone 2 (if you really want minecraft)

  • FreedroidRPG 1.0 Longplay [LetsPlay]
  • Neat. I don't see too many LPs of freedroid.

  • Borderline criminality
  • Actually, I wouldn't call that s a crime. It's just a variation of pizza on zitti, which is basically this cooked as a regular pasta dish. You finish it in the oven(plate and all) to get that crispy browning on the cheese. Mmmm good! Used to have it all the time.

  • Martian rock garden (sol 1085)
  • Good choice.

  • KeeperRL 1.0 is out now, merging Dungeon Keeper and a little Dwarf Fortress
  • Wow, wasn't expecting this today. Going to have to try it out. Been awhile.

  • villain origin story
  • I remember those. Pretty fun to play with. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the tree. Suppose I could look it up though.

  • Reflecting on Lemmy's Active sort
  • Oh, I had mine on active this whole time. I was wondering where all the no comment spam was.

  • USS Make Shit Up
  • Oh yeah, Voltaire. Hmm, been a while since I gave this one a spin. I remember him from the whiskey commercial.

  • What really caused the sriracha shortage? 2 friends, and the epic breakup that left millions without their favorite hot sauce
  • Huh, I was wondering why I hadn't seen the actual name brand in a while...

  • AIOE missing in action.

A little while back, AIOE was my go to for news groups, but it disappeared. I remember seeing something about a disaster at the server site or something. I guess I should remove it from thunderbird, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Can't find any info on what happened, but by it's continued absence, I figure it's never coming back. Rest in peace AIOE.
