It seems more like a proxy civil war. DHS and Ice are invading blue cities and states to terrorize those residents, but plenty of blue states have passed state laws to counter the shit happening in other red states and at the federal level. (New York passed "abortion shield" laws, to protect patients and providers offering or receiving abortion care in NY from legal repercussions (civil or criminal) initiated by states with abortion bans.) We have sanctuary cities. We have blue cities/states instructing their police not to assist ICE/DHS. People within those cities and states are also fighting back with neighborhood watches and protecting each other from ICE/DSS. To say that blue states/cities aren't fighting back is disingenuous.

The tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of patriots. It will come to violence, I don't see this ending any other way. The people that are openly opposing trump and his bullshit are trying to do it via civil disobedience, instead of violence. Violence just gives the right fuel to call the left terrorists and demonize the movement, along with an excuse to institute martial law. Civil disobedience gives the movement more credit. Black people during the civil rights movement and MLK recognized this. They knew violence would demonize, and therefore jeopardize what they were trying to accomplish.

I down vote things that are factually wrong. If it's a matter of opinion and I don't agree, I take no action. If someone is being an asshole, or if their comment/post has absolutely nothing to do with the post/community, I will down vote. I can't always tell what is AI generated, so I might end up voting some of those, but my preference is to down vote AI generated content and bots.

However, I do believe intelligence is molded by both DNA and the environment, they work hand in hand. The expression of DNA is impacted by our environment via eppigenetics. I went out with 2 different women, who called themselves log cabin republicans. (I'm gay.) It was mind blowing to me at the time that a gay person would support the republican party. I asked each of them the question, "Why do you support the republican party if the current rhetoric is so homophobic?"

The response each time was, "My 401K and investments are doing amazing under Trump."

I hit both of them with, "You know gay people started LCRs because they wanted an inclusive republican party, because republicans in CA at the time were trying to keep teachers that happened to be gay from teaching in schools, and they rallied behind Reagan when he condemned prop 6, the state bill in question. Is it really wise to turn the cheek to homophobia for more money?" Both women were all, "But a strong economy is good for everyone."

My response both times was, "You got yours, screw everyone else, pull the ladder up? Don't answer that, I'm leaving."

I refuse to download apps on my phone. I already have an internet browser on the phone; one app to rule them all. Why do I need a fucking app for what I can do on your webpage? I switched to linux because both apple and windows are in a race to see who can be the shittiest walled garden that invades your privacy and steals your data, so yeah, I'm still very much, don't trust strangers on the internet, including corporations. No I will not give you my information to get a discount or bullshit rewards points. I'll pay full price, my data is worth way more than your paltry discounts.

Is this translation correct? If so, I don't understand how this poetry is related; unless it's all a metaphor that's subtext for some kind of political message.

Cool, cool. How the fuck are we supposed to adapt when AI is doing all the jobs because employer would rather get free labor from a robot than fucking pay a human being?
