  • MAGA has five core factions, though they have significant overlap. Qanon folks are one, people wishing for a return to a mythologized golden age are another, then racists, followed by fascists, and then the anti-establishment folks who support Trump because they see him as a political outsider. The racists and fascists are happy, but the others periodically produce disillusioned people who sometimes leave MAGA.

  • It's not the flames per se, it's the red that does it.

  • Only for backwards compatibility titles. PS5 titles have to be run off of either the integrated storage or an M.2 SSD.

  • Depends on where and when you are. Not every kingdom practiced primogeniture and several places and time periods had ways to remove people from the line of succession. Even when they didn't have any of that, civil wars to put a more well-liked person on the throne were a thing. Cleopatra's faction trying to crown her over her less competent brothers, for example.

  • I hate that episode. Trip got date raped in a scene where the aggressor uses pedophile tactics, like tricking someone who doesn't know better into sex by calling it a game, then the rest of the episode is spent on victim blaming and mockery.

  • In Darmok, the Tamarians stranded the captains on the planet and jammed communications. Whether they have a specialist or not, they wouldn't have been able to help Picard, and there wasn't enough context in the ship-to-ship communication logs to figure out their meme-speak anyway. Data and Troi do still figure out pretty quickly that it's a meme-based language, but, again, the lack of context means they don't get far.

  • I wonder if it just takes longer to become a problem? I would expect (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) that a tumor likely grows at roughly the same rate regardless of body size. A 3cm diameter tumor likely just isn't as big of a deal when you mass 100,000kg.

  • It's just a typo. Head into a TTRPG community and be prepared to see rogue mispelled as rouge a lot.

  • Well, there's not really any randomness, we just can't ever have enough data to determine exactly what will happen. Which is why we have the Uncertainty Principle. If we both had a functioning Grand Unified Theory and total knowledge of all the particles in a system, we could simulate what would happen in the system with perfect accuracy.

  • That was entirely accidental. The owner of the horse asked a stable boy to label the feed bin with the horse's name and there was a miscommunication, the stable boy writing the name as Pot followed by eight O's when it was supposed to be Potatoes. He thought it was hilarious, so he kept it.

  • She also was just supplying them with basic goods, not weapons or intel. She also didn't stab the DS9 command staff in the back or go on a self-righteous holier-than-thou rant when she was caught. For all that Eddington mocks Sisko for taking it personally, Eddington went out of his way to make it personal.

  • Shortenning the timeframe of the first book from a few years to a few months definitely had some weird effects, like Paul and Chani's relationship not being as solid yet. When I watched Part 2 the first time I kept wondering where they were going to put the timeskip before I realized they just weren't going to have one.

  • I think people just don't know much about the PNW. Seattle produced some rock bands and companies in the '90s and Portland got a TV show that ended years ago, but that's about it. We just don't make much noise right now.

  • DLC playable clans. Toreador and Lasombra NPCs will work fine with or without the DLC. If you want to play as one of those then you need to shell out another $20.

  • Not sure if this is what they're talking about, but they made an ARG as part of the early VTMB2 promotion stuff. You had to do stuff within a fake dating app called Tender that was made in-universe to help vampires find feeding targets.

  • They understand that the US does bad things, but have a black-and-white worldview that brings them to the conclusion that anyone who opposes the US must be heroes. They don't understand that both sides of a conflict can be shitty.
