I'd be pretty surprised if that scene doesn't play differently when in context - the hairstyle changes alone suggest that this is possibly (probably?) a dream sequence or something similar, reflecting Spock's own insecurities back at him.

They're probably limited by the fact that the mobile game in question is a Lower Decks game, though it doesn't sound like that's an impossible obstacle.

I've never played the game, but it appears to include every incarnation of the Doctor.

I'm disappointed that they went with Tennant for the promotional material, but it hopefully doesn't reflect the gameplay (such as it is, these games tend to be pretty...low-calorie).

Again, no. That's not the story they're telling, and there's no episode that tries to make that point. It's a massive leap of logic to try to make that case.

All I'm doing is accurately describing the way the organization was depicted on DS9.

To me, "redemption" implies forgiveness, while "atonement" implies reparation or sacrifice, without actual forgiveness being in the equation. I think it's an interesting notion, if they can pull it off.

Georgiou has great potential to be a sort of nature/nurture story.

I've said elsewhere in the thread that I think there's a difference between redemption and atonement - I had the impression from the season 3 two-parter that they'd be taking the latter route with Georgiou. I think that could be really interesting, should they go in that direction.

This teaser really didn't provide any information as to whether they will, though.

I've never tried it, but the game has been around since 2009, which seems like a pretty good shelf life for a licensed game.

It's also picked up a couple of awards - the Grog d'Or for Best Roleplaying Game 2010 and the UK Game Expo Best Roleplaying Game 2010.

All in all, it sounds promising, though I swore years ago not to buy RPGs I would likely never actually play.

I think "Prodigy" did something similar in season one, when Dal's various genetic traits were asserting themselves.
