The Borderlands Movie Is Seemingly Struggling To Sell Tickets
  • I could have gotten over the minor disparity because they needed a good actor, but that script was a completely butchered hack job. Anyone who made decisions on that movie should be excised from the entertainment industry.

  • Standing
  • I tried to explain this to my wife. I can walk for long periods with no issue. But shopping? Amusement Parks? That shit is not walking, its trudging and it plays completely different with my energy levels.

  • Welp this did it. I'm going to need you to go turn in your Arab card down at the Department of Arabic and Islamic Civilizations. Otherwise we're gonna have to send Akbar and Ahmed over.

  • Exclusive: Sodium batteries to disrupt energy storage market | Oliver Gordon | July 1, 2024
  • So one of the disadvantages of Lithium-Ion batteries is its reactivity and proclivity for explosions/thermal runaway.

I would imagine sodium is even more reactive, no? Might be worth the engineering/safety challenges if the storage is better/comparable, and the cost is cheaper.

  • A lot of shows should just end with one season, we don't need the backstory fleshed out
  • Terminator the Sarah Conner Chronicles ended on a cliffhanger and then got cancelled. I was mad at the time, but now I like it. The show was good, and if they continued on they would have eventually ruined it and turned it into: Buffy the Terminator Slayer.

  • I'm thinking of buying an electric guitar
  • If you want a guitar with built in everything check out the Fernandes Nomad Digi-Zo. I had one and it played really well, had an entire effects processor and a speaker built in. It even had a drum machine onboard. It had a headphone jack as well. The guitar itself is travel sized, and had really good playability. The fatal flaw that made me sell it was the fact that it needed to be plugged in, and the wire was only 1.5m so you had no mobility. It was set up for a 9V battery, but it would suck a 9v dry in 20 mins when using the speaker. I wish now that I had researched an upgraded battery pack or just gotten a longer power wire.

  • $45 Million *Per Month*, As One Does
  • He posted "Fake Gnus" on twitter pretty quickly when the story came out. The more in depth denials are coming out now. The media sees something that they think will trigger an emotional response and they all run with it. The individual can deny it once, but the story was reposted/rehashed thousands of times. The fact that the WSJ originally reported it lends credence and all the other outlets just grab it and run. Imagine you're famous and posted something like this about you. Would you then go on the offensive denying the claim, because you'd never be able to keep up with the shares/retweets/reddit comments without a bot army.

  • Biden calls for supreme court reforms including 18-year justice term limits
  • There is an old army manual that says if you are ever forced to work for the enemy, try to push as many things as possible into committee decisions, because it looks like its helping, but also slows everything down to a crawl/halt.

  • Joe Biden ends re-election campaign
  • It’s the ones in the middle who sway one way or another. Trump is being ungracious by continuing to post about how horrible Biden has been (in his opinion). Its very un-presidential on Trump's part, and shows the real lack of class that he is well known for. This is the kind of thing that pushes people in the middle one way or the other. It also demonstrates that he has trouble keeping his mouth shut even when he know that running his mouth is going to hurt him.
