  • One good thing came out of all this—these stations/museums/whatever are now free to say what they want, without fear of losing government funding.

  • Whenever I see shit like this from him, I keep seeing that painting of Napoleon crowning himself emperor…

  • As I always said when I was on it, don’t sweat the downvotes. Reddit has an algorithm that games the voting system, in both directions. I would post something that would be immediately downvoted, and five minutes later it had ten upvotes. I would post an article that would have a thousand upvotes, and my karma breakdown would show…ten. (I would post something and be downvoted to hell; someone else would post the exact same thing and get 500 upvotes.) Don’t worry about the karma.

  • What republicans? I see tv ads with obama touting the redistricting effort. What ads are the republicans looking at? And since when does reuters want a subscription? 😠

  • so, it sounds like this thing shouldn't be held in NJ. Personally, I think it shouldn't be held here at all, but nobody listens to me. Wonder what Atlanta is going to do? They managed the Olympics, but that was a long time ago...

  • God but this guy is stupid… like, Dan Quayle levels of stupid.

That's probably a result of a lot of subs prohibiting comments from accounts less than seven days old.

  • I would think your doctor would be fine with that. I know that when I went to get a tetanus booster a couple decades ago, the nurse at CVS wanted me to get a DPT booster. I said, "Wait, diphtheria is coming back??" She said, "No, pertussis." I said, "Gimme the shot."
