Pretty good analysis of the movie, a couple months too late. K&S with another banger.
I've read some about that, and also how Marx gave some serious thought to ecological issues and their interaction with capital/socialism. Still, Marx, thinking as hard as he did on stuff like this did think that, so we can give some grace to Metropolitan leftists for reaching a similar conclusion.
The british did go full pharaohboo holy shit.
Yikes that's worse than I imagined. Thanks for the heads up.
Aw does that one have that? I had heard good things about it, but shit.
The unexamined assumption that the nations of the imperial core will be the leaders of the socialist revolution
To be completely fair, even Marx concluded similarly, and it took about 130 years of new theory and new evidence on top of it to get to where we are now.
The amount of burned-out Accenture people working in local/state governments doing a lousy (more than usual) job is alarmingly high
Zootopia is capitalist so even if they consented they would consent under duress (the alternative being animal homelessness and poverty). So... Kinda?
It's all white noise at the end
It's almost like any kind of advocacy done in name of a marginalized group without actually including and consulting said group is performative, masturbatory and counterproductive.
This applies to most things well-meaning "progressive" libs choose to champion: race, indigenous peoples, immigrants, you name it.
Spanish
I refuse to believe any American can speak Spanish well.
(this is a joke)
Orthodox right wing guy is an archetype I've run into before. I don't know how they come to be but they're surprisingly common.
Streamio is the best option in my experience, especially if you don't want to download whole shows and keep them in a server
I met some Cuban coffee producers last year and they were some of the coolest people I've met. They made this wood-roasted coffee with beans from a cooperative farm in the Sierra.
Awesome folks, hope to meet them again.
If y'all have the chance to buy Cuban coffee, get it. It's really good, and more revolutionary than other origins, say, Brazil. Or buy Café Zapatista... They have a lot of hookups in the Global North
None of us do, so you fit right in
As i'm going up in deadlifting weight, i find my grip gives way earlier than any other part of my body, making me lose reps because the bar feels like it's slipping off my fingers. I tried incorporating hook grip into the exercise, and while the bar felt a bit more secure, I felt my middle finger was rubbing against my thumb nail and making it feel like it was pulling it out, and causing a bunch of pain, and no matter what I tried it always came down to that when the bar left the ground.
Any advice?
